Actually I have parsnips! I am just having to take quite small steps and thinking hard about whether going up or down stairs is strictly necessary.

I have done no exercise today due to a splitting headache. Yesterday I did my daily press ups as we’re back on SPR maintenance.

Sounds like an emergency rub down of ibuprofen gel is required.

Hope your headache is gone by tomorrow.

What are your maintenance daily press ups/ how many?

You can do however many you like. They suggest 20-50 as a sensible range but also say you can do as few as 10 if you do them slowly.

I’m doing two sets of 15 at the moment, aiming to build up to 2 sets of 25-30. I could do 30 at the end of the program but seem to have lost some strength in my arms over the Christmas break.

For the spreadsheet, I can do zero pressups but my usual weights are usually 3kg-5kg. My kettlebells are 8 and 10kg.

I just did the Caroline Girvan kettlebell workout :perky: I really need to do this regularly so might actually pop some more in the diary to remind myself.

Well done nine. Any sign of DOMS?

I have just done NMTZ again and feel a bit jelly like. I have a pilates class this evening that I hope will provide sufficient stretching.

No, thank goodness! I think I overexerted myself on the thigh stretches in the warmup last time, so I was more careful this time.

Kettlebells again today. I have scheduled workouts in my diary until the end of Feb now. I have a modest aim of twice a week to start with as I am more likely to actually achieve that.

It was absolutely not running weather today so I’ve done BFBM instead. I’d forgotten how relentless some of the circuits are  424 calories apparently.

Well done both of you.

I did my morning run on Monday. Later in the day while karchering the bathroom, I managed to slip over and have wrenched my left shoulder/ upper arm muscle, bruised my left palm, bashed and bruised both knees, hurt my right elbow, whacked my right forearm off the sink and there are some other minor injuries I've forgotten as I'm sitting still currently and therefore not hurting. So I'm having a rest for a few days.

That sounds like quite a thorough injury, hope you feel better soon.

I have just done NMTZ again. I survived without significant DOMS from Monday but I don’t have Pilates today (and I don’t think I’m disciplined/experienced enough to do a workout by myself ).

I made the mistake of googling "karchering"

That sounds horrible, Disco. I think you deserve a few days off. I am also a bit DOMSy today but managed a walk.

NMTZ done for the third time this week, it’s def getting easier.

I ran yesterday but only a short one (just under 3k) as I haven’t run regularly for ages. It wasn’t too bad considering.
