Re: Running trainers
I'll update you all on them later today. I'll do a short 5 x 3 min 5km pace session.

Re: Running trainers
Influenced by you, Duo, I have just purchased a pair of NB carbon running shoes. I’ve only got one pair currently (not carbon) and wanted a second pair in rotation. I got these ones as I’m confident in sizing etc (and they were on sale!)

Lovely!
I ran in mine last night. 5 x 3 mins efforts. They're fast and I was panicking a bit. Like riding a racing bike when you've been used to a kids trike

Re: Running trainers
I really wish I'd got some now!!
MIne arrived today. I tried them on and jumped around the house a bit. The fit seems great.

Re: Running trainers
I'd only buy them if you're going to be racing as they're not as cushioned as normal running shoes and only last a fraction of the time - I'll be lucky if I get 400km out of mine, my average distance per year is close to 2000km.

Good to hear. I did look at them before buying my ones and realised they're overkill for me.

Re: Running trainers
I do have a bit of a plan, so these should fit in nicely. My Vongos will definitely be my daily run shoe though.

Re: Running trainers
Mine haven’t been delivered yet (they seem to have been stuck in Melbourne since Wednesday
) so I’ll not get to try them until next week now I expect. I have a speed and an intervals session on the plan next week though so will try them then.

Re: Running trainers
I've only tried them once. I'll be wearing them again tomorrow for an easy 5km and then I have the first in a series of races on Sunday which is the reason I bought them.
I'll keep you updated.

Re: Running trainers
My Hokas are as good as new, only worn them twice I think. I can see why people like them but mine aren't quite hitting the high point I was expecting just yet. I suspect they will need a little more wearing in before I am fully comfortable with them.

I have new shoes. ![weewee :weewee:](./images/smilies/xyper.gif)
Not fancy carbon ones for speedsters, but stable wide ones for rubbish arches and dodgy ankles.![Lolling ](./images/smilies/laugh.gif)
