Exactly! I take the "no news is good news" approach to this stuff.

Well I just came out from my GP exam which was inconclusive (she had trouble getting a good visualisation of my cervix), so I’m being referred for a colposcopy. That’ll be a fun letter to wait for.

Fun times, Hippy. I hope you don't have long to wait for the appointment.

I've been to Menopause Club today. I've come home with a fact sheet listing HRT alternatives and what symptoms they are good for; sleep help sheet; symptom list to tick and take to GP; suggestions of websites/ apps/ good doctor. There was lots of chatting about various things others have found to help or unlisted symptoms. And the mega influencer oversharer wasn't there.

I might try black cohosh or red clover for my night sweats.

I had dealings with an influencer couple recently and they were also mega oversharers. It was like they had absolutely no filter!

The list is interesting, thank you for sharing. Shame you don't like SWEET POTATO fries though

My colleague was telling everyone to try Ashwaganda. It’s meant to be amazing.

I have tried it, but stopped when I started taking SSRIs. It definitely helps with the chill out.

It might help lift testosterone levels as well.

I tried Ashwaganda and didn't notice any difference, unfortunately. I was hoping to be more chill, but no, still completely uptight. :))

Ooh, thank you for sharing your menopause club wisdom list. :)) I now have incessant hot flushes, new for 2024, which started as mild and quite useful in this weather/price of heating and have progressed to being permanently overheated in February. Would be nice to find something that helps before summer.

Are you taking magnesium? It’s the magic mineral. Helps, nerves, restless legs. It’s kind of a menopause essential.

Yes but I keep forgetting.

Also citrate or glycinate?

I’ve got both.

I used Balance for a while and it really helped. It was recommended by my Dr.

Another thing that really helped my understanding of everything was 28ish days later - https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p0bvg9nm

Either of these is good. Just keep taking it. I leave them out on the side with vitamin D so I don’t forget to take them.
