Yeah, I don't recall her ever saying anything in shred about rest days - good luck :))

I am noticing that my stomach has a lot more definition so that's encouraging. I think they tried to deliver my Jm abs dvd this morning - or perhaps the weights - and I'm thinking of doing the abs workout alongside Ripped.

My dvd isn’t supposed to arrive till Friday. My stomach blubber is still hanging in there, I was hoping to see some progress by now.

Yes, I've just had a notification about the dvd arriving Friday so that must be my weights!

I'm sure you will see a difference really soon.

Thank you for the reassurance :))

I was just reading about 6 week 6 pack on JM’s own site and it says something like it’s 30 minutes in total and 3.5 hours per week will definitely make a difference. So no rest day recommended.

L1D8: Much the same as yesterday, once I’ve got the bastarding jumping out of the way (circuit 1 cardio) it’s easy. I did try big girl press ups but having done one realised I would get a better workout by sticking to the baby ones (rather than doing 3 and face planting :lol: ). I also realised I need to improve my form on the shoulder presses as my shoulder was starting to grumble, I need to make sure I keep my elbows in.

I think your doing each level ten times really helps with perfecting form and getting the most out of the work out. I went back to W1 today and I felt like I was doing everything so much better because of familiarity so it felt like a really productive session and according to my fitbit it was better than yesterday (the new unfamiliar, harder level) and the first ripped session a few weeks ago. I followed the harder lady the whole way through and I did whole push ups for the entire bit which I didn't do in the first week. From that I surmise I am stronger and fitter than day 1.

I'm having a break tomorrow because I won't get back until late so Saturday I will either do the same W1 level again, or do W2.

I think you’re right. 10 days is probably optimum for familiarity before boredom sets in. My dvd hasn’t arrived yet but I don’t need it for another 3 weeks at least.

L1D9: My shoulder is definitely not enjoying the shoulder presses but only one more day before I change level. I’m torn between fear of level 2 and boredom with level 1.

Tweety bird :lol: I’m not hurting much but there’s a constant low level ache mostly around my arms and shoulders.

My new weights have arrived. They were left outside the front door when I returned home from work not long ago. I had two bags and keys in one hand so tried to life the box with the other hand and it was very heavy :lol: . I'll see how I get on tomorrow!

L1D10: I must admit I’m quite amazed to do the whole 10 days without a rest day, usually life gets in the way. I’m a bit scared of level 2, I remember hating it even more than I did level 3.

I've done today's Ripped :frolic: . I decided to get back to L3 and it was really hard again. I followed the easy woman a lot, I used the 3kg weights but there isn't much to do with weights in this level as most of the upper body strength bits are floor work. My triceps and quads are going to ache later potentially.

So my plan is to have a break tomorrow as I'm out tonight, then do L3 Mon-Sat break for Sunday before beginning L4 on Monday.
