I had it, pretty much, but lockdown and Shouty Bloke really really pushed me out of it; my weight had been constant for a few years and then rose quite quickly from April/May. I'm hoping to get back into it. Hoping.

I finally have a tape measure and have noted down my stats. I found an old notebook with my measurements from when I was at the same weight a few years ago (and not exercising). Interestingly, despite being the same weight as I was for the old measurements, my hips are 2cm smaller, my bust :flirt: is 3cm smaller and my belly-button stomach measurement is a whopping 5.5cm smaller. It seems all my working out is definitely having an effect.

ETA In fact my measurements are more or less the same as when I was 8lb lighter last time!

That’s really interesting Nine and shows that we shouldn’t just rely on what the scales tell us.

I have no weight loss to report yet.

It’s not my “official” weigh in day, but I weigh daily and I’ve just hit 10lb off since 30th December :disco:

I love this.

I didn’t take measurements on 28 Dec when I first weighed in but did on 4 Jan. I’ve lost about 3.5” overall and 12lbs, though some of that was Christmas bloat. I’m enjoying Fitbit daily weigh ins as it gives me a weekly average that it also tracks. :l:

Same here!

Well done Wenders and Nine - impressive results!

I've lost 8lbs since 1 Jan which I'm really pleased with. Lockdwon is actually helping here as I've naturally fallen into a pattern of not eating breakfast until gone 9 and then eating dinner really early for us (by about 6/ 630) which has really reduced the amount I'm snacking.

Excellent work Wendy, Flora and Nine!

I need to take some measurements, but I'm nervous about taking them in different areas and either being unnecessarily excited or disappointed. I am trying to use scars as a 'marker' but I don't have any in the right place.

I'm trying to do some cycling every day to create a bigger calorie deficit. I nearly died this morning going uphill in a sleety windy storm but I felt so much better after doing it!

You're brave, cycing in that weather!

I made some "cookies" this afternoon. I should have known since they're really just banana & oatmeal, but they're not nice  I've had a bad week or two of snacking, so am attempting to get back onto something better than sweets, chocolate, or normal biscuits. I don't do well without some kind of afternoon snack.

It was a bit foolish but it was the principle of doing it! Plus I felt I deserved a long hot bath afterwards. My brakes don't seem to work in the rain, which made the whole thing a bit more interesting. :ella:

How about a handful of nuts with a few raisins and coconut pieces? I also like popcorn.

I do like nuts but am wary of the calories. Ooh that reminds me I haven't had my daily 2 brazil nuts!

Can you get Kind bars, PG? They are pretty good from a nutrition perspective and genuinely tasty (my favourite are the almond and salted caramel ones). They’re not cheap, but worth it as a treat.

Wow these great results are so motivating!
I have lost 3kgs in January so am around my pre Christmas weight. I am certainly moving more, eating better and generally looking after myself. In Feb I would like to loose 1kg, I want to focus on small goals each month rather than an end target.
