Urgh! They probably eat unappealing crap the rest of the time too, just more of it .
I have finally lost 1lb! it only took nearly four weeks of bobbing around after holiday. Less than half a stone to go now but we all know that’s the most difficult bit.
How many points is one allowed in a day (-ish - I realise it must vary enormously from person to person ).
There were some nice looking and properly low-cal recipes on the MFP blog yesterday (I think the 25 low-carb article?). I am going to have to find a way of increasing my non-exercise exercise if I ever want to be able to reintroduce cheese or chips or a sauce with cream in it, even if I reach goal weight and can up my calories a bit. I used to be able to eat all those things frequently when I lived in Paris
I’m doing WW Green which has the highest points allowance, balanced by the lowest 0 points food list. So I get 30 a day. On Blue which is the “middle” one I’d be allowed 24.
I’m down 6lb in total so far since I started getting back on it like a car bonnet. I need to lose 11lb ideally but I’ve never quite made target weight, so I’ll take a further 8lb as a success.
I see that sort of thing a lot on slimming worls. Luckily I've found a couple of people to follow on i stages that make nice food out of proper ingredients. My only vice (such as it is) is that I refuse to use frylight so I take a hit on proper oil.
I can understand meals like the sad sausage though, sometimes you just want to know it’s an acceptable meal and you can’t think too hard about it because otherwise you’ll want a mega blowout takeaway or something. This is why I have the same breakfast & lunch most days, because it works and if I have too many options I’ll remember how delicious bread is again.
1.8lbs down this week! The only difference between this week and last is that I moved a wee bit more, definitely not enough to warrant burning that kind of calorie deficit.
I'm coming to the conclusion bodies are just fickle and weird.
Viggy, bodies are absolutely fickle and weird. There is just no logic to it at all. I can have days where I am in my calories, exercise etc and gain weight and days where I am over and sit on my bum and lose. No rhyme or reason at all.
That's so true - I'm in a rut of sticking at the moment but am exercising a bit less. I'm just making sure I don't get frustrated and give up. And that's a great weekly loss, Buffy.
I've lost 17 lbs in total so far, it's definitely slowed off but still heading in the right direction.
I don't even think I ate 2.1kg of food yesterday (if you take out the water content; I didn't have any drinks with calories beyond a bit of soy milk in tea).
