Re: Corona Virus
Even if he "resigns", what's the chances he'll still be quietly involved?

You’re right Goat. At least this way, he’s mostly where we can see him.

I just don't get it. If I had coronavirus symptoms and couldn't parent I'd let Beebie live on crisps and biscuits and TV for two weeks before I'd risk infecting my parents. You could actually kill them!

I’m going to assume he’s not all that invested in his parents.

Yes! That's literally what we all would do, and have done. Being ill and looking after kids is shitter than shit but it's part of the deal.Heebie Jeebie wrote: ↑Sat May 23, 2020 12:46 pm I just don't get it. Yes! I remember having a bout of norovirus and sitting on the kitchen floor to make two toddlers lunch as if I stood up, I’d pass out.Ruby wrote: ↑Sat May 23, 2020 12:59 pmYes! He should be dragged over hot coals for this but it’s not going to impact him at all.

What an absolute bunglecunt Cummings is.
It’s like a normal midlife crisis only with more chandeliers and foreign languages.

Re: Corona Virus
I am genuinely liking the way the majority of people on my twitter feed, who are not all political, but many just public figures generally, are having none of the Cabinet being told to come out fighting to support Cummings.
There is literally nothing we can do to change our government, right now is there? Other than get out the pitchforks I guess. I will just quietly despair.

Re: Corona Virus
If Keir Starmer doesn't milk this for all it's worth, he doesn't deserve to be Labour leader. The media (apart from The Mirror and the Guardian) won't make any great effort here so it's really time for the opposition to show their teeth.

Re: Corona Virus
It's interesting that this is the first incident in this disaster that I can think of that's enraged people right across the political spectrum. Julia Hartley Brewer is flaming. Backbench Tories are angry. The cabinet are obviously all on side, that's why the spineless shits were picked but other than that, the fury is cutting right through . People who don't care about politics are angry. Not sure that this means much, but it's a shift.

I noticed that. Agreeing with anything JHB said was unsettling.

I bet he is universally loathed, even within the Tory party.

Where is our glorious leader? Surely he needs to at least make a statement regarding it.

Re: Corona Virus
He can't hide until Wednesday, surely? He's only been in office for 5 months, and he's had a holiday, sick leave and is now on unofficial paternity leave. There aren't many HR policies that would allow that.
It will be interesting to see what the papers say tomorrow, and who Andrew Marr's guests are.

Re: Corona Virus
Sorry, I meant that’s the last time I remember seeing him.
