I just really hope this will make many lose faith in the Tories/Boris.

I can already see one error - DC did not write a Spectator article; that was MW.Topcat wrote: ↑Mon May 25, 2020 1:56 pm I don't know how verifiable this timeline is:

My dad is tweeting a petition and has emailed his MP to demand Cummings’ resignation. This is my dad, never usually displaying an opinion in his life.

It mentions 2 pieces in the Spectator, one by each of them.nineseven wrote: ↑Mon May 25, 2020 2:32 pmI can already see one error - DC did not write a Spectator article; that was MW.Topcat wrote: ↑Mon May 25, 2020 1:56 pm I don't know how verifiable this timeline is:

Of course there'll be a notable proportion of dyed in the wool supporters who will chose to see this in their favour, but my mum is the same Pip. Absolutely a-political usually but really furious and offended about this.

I see the latest line of attack is the reporters/crews outside his house.

I don't know if this will work, but it's quite funny if it does.

I wonder how many of the cabinet/ people supporting DC sprang to the defence of the woman that scientist was seeing when the press printed any number of salicious and unnecessary stories about her and (presumably) hounded her and her family at home?

Re: Corona Virus
Good point. The hounding from the press is inexcusable, but it's not something that's specific to him.
I keep saying it but I agree that this is riling people who are usually apolitical, and people who are usually Tory voters. The only ones left supporting him seem to be mouth frothers and bots. I'm not sure it's possible to properly recover from this. Which doesn't necessarily mean any resignations even, but I do think they've lost popular support, which, for a populist government with no manifesto other than Get Brexit Done, is kind of a problem. A populist government kind of needs to be popular; it doesn't have anything else.

I wasn't for one second suggesting that it was specific to him, we know it isn't.
But in this instance, it gives just that tiny little bit of leverage that didn't need to be given.

Oh I wasn't disagreeing with you in any way at all, just concurring with Smal. I know you weren't. I agree it gives him a tiny bit of moral high ground. Well, it doesn't really, but he'll use the fuck out of the bit it does give him.

Yes, I was disagreeing just pointing out the raging double standard.

My MIL, who is a Labour voter admittedly but socially conservative, is furious. She has even liked my FB post about it even though it is full of the worst swears.Pippedydeadeye wrote: ↑Mon May 25, 2020 2:32 pm My dad is tweeting a petition and has emailed his MP to demand Cummings’ resignation. I think my dad’s a Labour voter but he’s never ever voiced any kind of political opinion before (except believing the bus lies).

Do we know for definite he went walking around that bloody castle? People seem to come out after the event and say it but I don't get why they didn't say anything at the time.

Pippa Crerar and others have been gathering those stories and other evidence for ages to ensure its rock solid. It's not that people have suddenly come forward, it's that it's been held back.

Ah ok, thank you.
It's not that I doubt it happened, genuinely. I just want to make sure I know it's rock solid that it did, if that makes sense.
