I hope Pete feels better soon cluef.

They’ve just announced most of the restrictions here are lifting. Mask mandate still in place, but the curfew for hospitality is lifted and no more social distancing or covid passes.

Oof poor Pete. I really hope she’s over the worst of it soon.

There is no end in sight to the current situation here. They are doing everything they can to make life difficult for the unvaccinated while not punishing those of us that are by going into lockdown. It looks like they’re doing everything they can to avoid shutting down again.

Speaking of vaccines, I need to go for a third soon to be counted as boosted. It’s what I was expecting.

Thanks chaps. She’s shivering violently now and is boiling hot to touch but feels freezing cold, that’s after Calpol. Other than her surgery and cardiac stuff I have never ever known her to be this ill. She looks horrendous. It’s horrible. I think Maggie must know because she’s been lying on her all day.

It's possible that she may have something elseas well as Covid, so definitely keep dosing her up till she feels better. Poor baby.

Still just F who is positive here. I can feel a niggling headache and sore throat coming on… Just want to get it over and done with.

Thanks for the solidarity and kind wishes. She’s in with me now, I’m willing her to get better and really hoping her sister avoids it too.

I hope everyone else afflicted feels better super soon too!

When I was really unwell once as a child and boiling hot but shivering my mum phoned my aunt who was a nurse and she said to pull all my clothes and covers off and sponge me down with cold water to bring my temp down that way. I remember distinctly the relief as I kind of came back to myself. I don’t know if that’s still recommended but it did work for me.

Also, with her background, I wouldn’t hesitate to call for medical help if you feel she needs it.
