Yeah they say not to do that now, though it definitely was a thing when we were kids.

Just had to pick up Joe from my mum's house because 2 of his closest friends from school have tested positive and he spent lots of time sitting very close to them just yesterday. I've booked a PCR test for him for tomorrow but is that too soon? Joe's been unwell for a few days now (headache, tummy ache, nausea) but so far his LFTs have been negative.

Thank you. Her breathing has slowed a little bit now and is a little more even. I’m just going to stare at her all night until my eyeballs fall out and she gets a restraining order against me. I will definitely call 111 if she gets worse. Or her cardiac team maybe. I know that her friend from school was very poorly with it but has no underlying conditions, and some of her pals had no symptoms at all. It’s such a weird thing. And hateful. I hate it. Like everyone else does.

Dutchie if he’s had those symptoms then a PCR is a good idea anyway, I reckon. I hope he’s ok.

Oh cloof, I would do the same thing! It's at moments like these - no matter how big or small your kids are - that you wish you could take over and be ill for them. Hope that you guys will have a peaceful, uneventful night x

You're right about the PCR test, we'll just go ahead with it.

I'm glad her breathing is a bit better, clue. I wouldn't hesitate to call her cardiac team if she doesn't start feeling better during the night. Poor wee mite. And poor you guys too.

This is very interesting. Only 17,371 deaths recorded as the only cause of death listed on a death certificate, from February 2020 to December 2021.

I wish you a peaceful night, Cluef.

I hope Pete feels better soon. Don’t hesitate to call 111 as she might be eligible for one of the new anti viral medications.

Thanks everyone. She’s had a really horrible night and is asleep now so I’m waiting to see how she is when she wakes up. Her breathing sounds slower and she’s not as burning hot as a couple of hours ago so fingers crossed.
