Thank you all. I’m relieved but still keep having horrible waves of anxiety. I hate that fucking virus.

I’m going to go and buy all the cheese tomorrow. With 65 masks on and a hazmat suit, and my entire body covered in a layer of hand gel.

Agh Squirrel. But negative, yay! I’d like to say that each time you test that the wait gets easier but it bloody doesn’t. I also convince myself that we won’t jump the gun and test at the smallest thing next time but I keep failing at that too :))

That’s good news squirrel, enjoy the Santa’s!

The Zoe app wants me to have another test, presumably due to my chilblains. I hadn’t heard of there being similar symptoms in younger folk until I googled.

Chilblains! That’s an odd one.

God yes I can imagine. I’m so grateful that we were able to get a test and get the results so quickly.

It was only 48 hours and I was ready to go postal at every member of my household. Being even more cooped up with them after a year of being cooped up with them is too much. I’m a loner who likes my own space 😭.

I feel crappy but better than yesterday, and it does feel like a normal seasonal virus. Which I normally suffer from a lot but have been mercifully free from for an entire year. I am still horrified that I caught anything right now!

Yes it does seem mad that you can catch something still with all these restrictions in place but I guess viruses are very effective at spreading. Glad you are feeling a bit better at least.

This has really brought my badly contained anxiety to a head. I need to go and do some meditation or something .

Hello post-covid people! 👋🏻 Has anyone else's sense of smell never really returned to 'normal'? Most of the time it is fine but some things just don't smell good to me any more. Particularly food/cooking smells just seem ... altered.

And I really struggle to smell any flowers. Perfume or strong scents like lavender are fine but more subtle or natural smells are difficult to pin down.

And I definitely can't smell if milk is off.

Did you see the work being done by Absence - I posted up thread I think - https://abscent.org/covid-19/covid-19-information

If you do decide to do the snell training there’s no need to pay for their expensive kits though; all the instructions are available for free and essential oils can be easily sourced
It’s like a normal midlife crisis only with more chandeliers and foreign languages.

I think my sense of smell is not too bad but it’s not quite right either. My appetite has disappeared in the evening (got no interest in a proper meal) and sometimes things don’t taste as good as they used to.

Mr L has gone off coffee a bit & has to have it weaker than before. My brother says he can’t stand coffee any more either.
