I’ll delete these in a bit, but I don’t think it’s too grim to look at.

Is that a bite?

If it is, draw a ring around the edge of the infection to help check if it's spreading. I don't want to worry you, but I've done two weeks in hospital in the past over some nasty bites.

I didn’t think it was but it looks pretty classic for one. I’ve got antibiotics but I don’t think I’ve got a long enough course.

Bloody hell! Glad you're phoning the GP again tomorrow. I doubt you'll have any bother getting a second course of ABs.

My bite looks like that! :bob:
Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either, just fuck off and leave me alone.

So, Garmin. Hacked or just down for some undisclosed system problem?

Just over 7km to A’s football training tonight. I had to walk on 3 of the hills but I expected that on at least one of them. If I ever consider doing the Frome half remind me that Egford Hill at mile 11 would actually kill me

 Good running though, we often stop on group runs and I had to walk some the Bath Half this year because of fatness, I wouldnt worry.

I went for a four mile walk today. But, I WENT WITH SOMEONE! It was supposed to be a run but we were gassing so much we ended up just strolling. Was lovely nely to see her again after so long. 💖

Since starting this challenge my legs automatically switch to walking if I hit a hill  And I don’t think they’re half as steep as yours, Tex (hopefully you knew that was me that added you on strava)

How lovely, TC :))

I was meant to do a fast 5k tonight, but I sacked it off. I’m trying to up my miles a bit to see if it’s at all possible to crack 800 miles by the end of August (from the start of GVRAT), so I don’t think speed work would be wise.

Did a nice steady 7 miles instead, and felt not bad for a change

I thought it was you!

I did a run with my friend a couple of weeks ago and it was lovely, even if she did make me wait for her a couple of times

If anyone fancies doing HIIT with me in August, the details are here.

It’s not exclusively for mothers, Alan.

Also, my arm is much better, and I spoke to another gp who was reluctant to give me more abx so I’m just keeping a watchful eye and using hydrocortisone & antihistamines.

I might consider that HIIT challenge Pip, as I'll be off running for a bit: I do seem to have slightly fucked my knee. I went on a long run yesterday and had to walk the last 4 miles home, which took ages, apart from anything else - luckily I had a podcast about impending nuclear apocalypse to keep me entertained. The knee has been niggling on and off for weeks now but yesterday it was actively painful for the first time. I don't feel it at all when walking or even jumping or hopping, it's only when running and then only after the first three or so miles. So I'm going to not run at all for two weeks and then start shorter runs, maybe just on the treadmill if the gym is open again.

Glad your arm is on the mend Pip.

Bootcamp this morning with a bloody Burpee challenge in the middle. My poor thighs.

Glad to hear your arm is on the mend, Pip.
