Second jab today. Ours are in a tent in a showground that is basically used for farmers to show off their cattle once a year. It was very quiet and everyone seemed to be my age or older, I don't now if they are intentionally keeping the oldies away from the young folk.

I had mine at the St Helens rugby ground, aka the 'Totally Wicked' stadium. There were tent tunnels at the front entrance so they could funnel the oldies and the 40s in different streams.

Topps Tiles as a jabbing location really tickles me.

I was quite surprised yesterday - there was a total mix of ages, from what I guessed was an 18-year-old with her 40s mum, and several other young adults, to some very elderly people. At a guess 1/4 to 1/3 of the people there were 80-ish. They've said that there's still ~30% of over-75s who aren't vaccinated, but I assumed that was people who were refusing, not just late-comers. I hope at least it was 2nd appts.

As far as the NHS seems to know, I haven't been vaccinated, and I've been relatively impressed by how much they've already chased me, especially given my age and relative lack of vulnerability. There was actually a way of replying to give a reason on the last communication so I guess they'll stop chasing me now.

I've been sent quite a few things too, I think maybe because it was through my GP so the national system isn't aware yet.

That's interesting that it was such a mix, PG, everyone when I went looked around my age.

Loving all these vaccine locations!! OK, so the UK may be vaccinating in Top Tiles or football grounds but they are vaccinating like mad and since quite a while too! It wasn't all that long ago that there were 1,000+ Covid deaths in the UK and just this week you guys had 0. So, location, location, location - except when you're vaccinating!

P.S. My arm still hurts like mad. It woke me up a few times last night when I rolled over onto it. Hope it will stop soon...

Is anyone tempted to try and rebook their second jab before the youngsters can book tomorrow? I’m tempted but don’t want to cancel my second jab just in case

Also, didn't you have AZ? The youngsters won't be offered that, I don't think.

I phoned 119 about this at the end of last week because my finger was hovering over "cancel and rebook" but I was worried.

What the very cheerful but computer-says-no person told me was that

a) She would have to cancel my appointment first and rebook just as I would but also, more importantly.....

b) The national booking system follows official government advice and while locally GP and Pharmacy vax centres are allowed to flex and offer anyone their second vax at 8 weeks plus via walk-ins or a text/phone call or whatever, the system won't offer you anything earlier than 10 weeks unless you've been invited. And under 50s aren't, as of now, being invited unless vulnerable in another way. So if I had cancelled the chances are I wouldn't have been able to book anything any earlier than the appointment I already have, which is at 11 weeks.
