Have you been able to book him an appointment in the meantime? I’ve got F booked in for next Thursday! It’s a week short of the 3 month thing but they let me book it so fingers crossed!

I’m aiming to take Squeak to a walk in clinic this week. She’s already had her bribe.

I could have booked him into a clinic but nothing before 29th and all over half an hour away. He was jabbed on 4th Oct. shouldn’t be a problem for Wednesday/Thursday and will give us something to do!

Lexie was jabbed on 23rd Oct so she’s not eligible yet.

I put G's details in and can book an appt from the 28 Jan (although I will wait for a walk in as the nearest place it's offering me is St John's Wood). He was jabbed on 5 Nov.

I thought I'd read it was 8 weeks?

Three months, isn't it? But eight weeks for adults between doses one and two.I think!

I have a feeling it’s 8 weeks for appointments but 3 months for walk in? Might be making that up, not sure.

The NHS says this
Booking your 2nd dose
People aged 16 or over are eligible for a 2nd dose.

People aged 18 or over should have their 2nd dose from 8 weeks after their 1st dose.

Most people aged 16 or 17 should have their 2nd dose from 12 weeks after their 1st dose.

Ah, that’s weird, my nhs says

1st and 2nd doses for people aged 12 years old and over
3rd doses for people with a severely weakened immune system aged 18 years old and over
boosters for people aged 18 years old and over
boosters for people aged 16 and 17 years old who are at high risk from COVID-19 or frontline health and social care workers

No mention of how long the wait news to be though! Our walk ins for over 12s stated 3 months though.

Thanks for the prompt to look at the NHS site. Last time I looked it wasn’t updated to offer 2nd vaccines for all 12-15 year olds, just those with certain conditions or vulnerable family members.

12-15 is 12 weeks between doses. Looks like they’ll be offered a second via school. Weird that I could book an appt for end of Jan for him though!

God, it’s so typically confusing. We got an NHS letter about F telling us to book his second dose now so it sounds like school won’t be doing it.

It is confusing.

G got a text telling him to book his booster yesterday. Obvs he can’t get that. S and I got the text too despite us both having it already.

Yes I had the letter too. Twelve weeks is definitely the allowed gap for J’s.

Emma, the text was a nationwide thing, I think.

Yeah I guessed it was a blanket text but surely they have ways of being more targeted?

It really is incredibly confusing. I’ve read and reread the page and it’s more confusing than my inlaws found cooking M&S party food.

I think it might be from NHS England, as Mr G got one to his work phone, but all our other phones didn't.

I’ve booked Squeak’s second now, for two weeks from today. She was being weird about it being a weekend so I’ve gone for a Monday evening.

I booked G’s for the end of Jan. I went for a Saturday morning so he’d have time to recover if he needs to.
