Well done, Tex! I was back on it today with renewed vigour (I needed a couple of days off). W2D5 complete which means I am exactly halfway through Beginner Shred! I'm definitely seeing improvements in my strength and general firmness.

I also threw in some HIIT, Pilates and a walk so I am knackered now.

A good two day break is necessary sometimes.

That said I did a strong NMTZ earlier.

You’re all doing so well! I still feel terrible today (I always sleep really badly at this time of the month), so am also having a two-day break and will get back to it tomorrow.

I’m glad you’re seeing results, nine. If you follow jillian’s vids they definitely do work.

Well done Nine and Disco.

I have a severe case of apathy today not helped by the rain so I didn’t get out for a run. Maybe tomorrow. I know I’ll feel better if I do.

W2D6 done!

I had really weak and inflexible hips and lower back when I started this due to my AS. However I can now easily do the swimmers (what Jillian calls the Superman for some reason) - I could barely get my legs of the floor when I started. It’s amazing seeing progress.

Dahlia is particularly gimpy. Also that blonde one, terminator type, who isn’t Bashira.

There’s another irritating pixie too, not Dahlia.

Yes, she never breaks sweat or smiles or engages in any facial expression really.

NMTZ done. I was hoping to run but the lethargy had got too bad and I couldn’t face leaving the house. Also we’ve had to reschedule a bike ride from Sat till tomorrow when I would otherwise have been doing it. It was particularly tough on the abs today but none of it was easy.

I think it works the abs so much more than 6W6P.

I did a good session of 1WS cardio. There's just one thing I've modified because of my knee and that is rock star jumps because it's such an impact so I do deep squats instead.

I was thinking of starting something new on 1 Feb but I think the combination of NMZT/1WSCardio is a good one so I think I will continue this for another couple of weeks before switching out the 1WS for something else.

I think NMTZ plus cardio works well, I just need to get back into the habit of running. It’s so hard to drag myself out in the cold. Last winter I was running during A’s football training when I had to leave the house anyway and it was so much easier.

Well done! I cycled, only 9k but there’s one particularly steep hill where I was cursing NMTZ.

Is NMTZ quite advanced? I have 30 Day Shred lined up for when I finish BS (lol). I’m still a bit nervous about trying something too advanced for me but I really love Jillian and don’t want to run out :l:

However as my only plans this weekend are cooking my veg box contents and working out, I’m thinking of doing back to back W1 and W2. I’m curious to see how much easier W1 is for me now.
