C and I did Core #28. We got interrupted about 3 times variously by the local Labour councillor, Tesco & Squeak wanting a lift home from rugby.

You got it done though!

Step 119 and Pump 101 this morning. I’ve done 13 days in a row and tomorrow is going to be a rest day.

I finally got the chance to do my recorded Dance Step class. I do t think the video expires like zoom yoga does so I might get to do it again a few more times. It almost feels like old times with a Sunday morning step class, even if it was in my kitchen.

Enjoy your well-earned day off, Est!

Thursday’s 5k went ok - I’m well away from PB territory at the moment, but I tried hard and did better than I thought I might.

Gentle walk and jog for just a couple of miles with S on Friday morning, then 4ish miles yesterday and 7 very slow miles today. Trying to build up my mileage now - looks like some events will definitely happen this summer so I need to start trying to get my fitness back up again.

‘Live’ dance step this evening. I’m not sure how much longer this will go on for, I think the class teacher is planning to go back to live real life at her new gym and I don’t know if I’ll follow her.

You could always do the party remix Body Step videos in LMOD? (I’m not sure what dance step is like, but in my
mind that’s similar?)

I did Step 118 and a short Pump upper body video this afternoon.

Body Step is ok, but it’s not the same at all. :(

Oh :( I hope she might keep doing the virtual classes too, then. It would be sad for you to miss out on something you enjoy.

That's a shame, Pip.

I've done C25k now, so not sure what to do next. I guess maybe just keep on doing half hour runs for the moment, and maybe start going a bit longer when I have more time.

C just does half hour runs now. Or, trying to beat his time on the same route when he gets out.

I just did a lunchtime march around the grounds today.

5K done. I went off too fast and the last 1.5 was hideous but it was sub 30 so I won’t complain.

Chunk just made me go for a short bike ride with him. My HR was way high, not sure whether it was from the exertion or the fear every time a car came near. He’s still working on his road sense.

I know that fear. A gets very wobbly when he’s on the road.

I’ve got a whole month of HIIT to catch up on. I’ve just done an outdoor shuttle run circuit followed by weights. But I got confused over what I meant by KB (how?!) and used dumbbells instead. Worraknob. Though to be fair, I’d have used the same weight of the combined dumbbells (10kg).

I ended up having a pretty lazy week due to new job. I sweated my way through an hour of Step today though. And have plans for tomorrow. I need to start synchronise my workouts with WFH and after-school activities more effectively.

I’ve walked 6k around neighbourhood delivering leaflets this morning and done HIIT in the garden.

I had a fairly quiet week since club run on Tuesday, in preparation for a time limit lapped run today - I managed to complete 3 laps for a total of 20 miles in about 4.5 hours. Theoretically I might just have made the 4th lap/marathon distance before the cut off (6 hours) but my legs really didn’t have it in them!

It’s by far the furthest I’ve run in months - I really hadn’t appreciated how much I’ve lowered the distances I’ve been running - my most recent run over 10 miles was December!

I’ve got an ultra in the summer, so I really need to start some proper distance training.

An ultra?! Wow.
