Great news Est!

Gym this morning for upper body (chest press, tricep extensions, seated row, lateral raises), power mill and some stretches. I'll be back this evening for calisthenics while the girls swim.

It was the new pump & balance routines for the first time for me today. I liked pump a lot. Balance was pretty good but my arms were trembling after pump.

Step 120 today. So humid here and I was a sweaty mess. But it was so nice doing it on a screen bigger than my iPhone!

I’ve done day 5’s HIIT now, so I’ve day 8 to catch up on at some point.

On Friday I went for a really long walk/hike with my mum, who is admirably fit for an 81-year-old! Yesterday went for my weekly cold water swim in a lake nearby with my fellow crazy swimming buddies. Bloody hell it was cold - both outdoor and water temperatures were 4C, it was raining and there was an icy wind. It actually felt nicer in the water than out.

HIIT was an accumulator today.

What does that mean, Pip?

7 miles run and 1 walked today. Was meant to be doing 9 but I got an odd new calf pain and decided to stop as I really can’t afford an injury just as I’m starting my training! :fc:

I'd still love to try outdoor cold water swimming but the only options nearby are not fit for swimming :look:

I did RPM this morning and I'm going for a walk in a bit. RPM felt hard.

Exercises 1 & 2, then 1, 2 & 3, adding one on each time until you’ve done them all. It was squat pulses with a kettlebell, then squat jumps all the way up to fast feet for a minute. 80 squat pulses in all! I am expecting buns of steel by 11th Feb.

I do genuinely think my bum shape has changed since I started J’a hiit a couple of years ago.

I’m back to kickboxing tonight. It’s going to be painful. Yoga after.

I went to kettlebells where I got the text about Squeak having Covid.

Oh, no, poor Squeak. I hope she gets mild symptoms and you all avoid it too!

Step 123 this morning for me. I’d never done it before and loved it. Tough one for the quads though. And I need to figure out the air con unit in the gym as it was hot and humid as anything out there. Massive sweat and calorie burn.

An actual outside bike ride yesterday morning and the same again today. Not far but it's nice to be out when the roads aren't too busy.

Gym this morning for deadlifts, OHPs and cross trainer. 30 min RPM at lunchtime.
