Good. I think it's important to interfere at times like these.

I hope your dad is full of breath soon and feeling better soon, Zooms.

And you too, Disco. So many people getting it recently!

Well, the Irish doc was completely useless. Total waste of time. Dad doesn't seem to be any worse, though and even said his throat was feeling a bit better.
My sister has private healthcare and will ring her doc if he takes a turn for the worse, but fingers crossed it won't be necessary. (I'm still fucking fuming with the Irish doc, though.)

Why not just get her to call 111?

I have private healthcare, and my dad is not covered on it, so I’d be amazed if yours was on your sister’s. (Unless it’s a private policy she took out that specifically names him?)

I'm sorry to hear you have fallen prey to it Dics, and hope that you don't get it horribly. I'm with Ella on Daddy Zoom - 111 will be her best call - it really is worth getting their advice I think. Sal, I'm glad to see you are on the mend - that's been a loooong time!

I'm in a play all this week. One of the cast has Covid but has carried on coming, masking up for a couple of days of rehearsals. She's still testing faintly positive. I'm like this really :mute: I feel for her as she's got a degenerative illness and this may be her last time in a show but - blimey. I suppose this is just how things are going to be from now on, and we will start seeing it as just a cold or something.

My parents are going to Berlin this weekend, supposedly to meet up with friends from New Zealand who've come over to Sweden for several months - and now one of the friends has Covid so the reunion, having been planned for several years, is off. I'm so gutted for them.

I tested positive this morning. Just in time for S to have to go back to work. Faint line on the nasal swab but much stronger on the spit test. So at least we know they work.

Oh no, Starry! Do you have to do childcare while feeling unwell?

I can't believe that woman has carried on as normal albeit with a mask Lily!

Well, no, neither could I. Apparently she told the director and was encouraged to come anyway if she didn't feel too bad. I just - well. :mute: She said it was past the government guidance days or something now, but God knows.

It’s my first time, kids got it at Easter but I didn’t. Two years in and now it finally got me. Raging.

I’m not too bad, apart from a brief fainting spell this morning. Though earlier in the week I felt rough, I’ve been testing every day though and it is the faintest of lines.

Kids have been packed off to the in-laws for a few days.

I was thinking that but as I'm based in a hospital and *mum (over 85 & disabled) yet to have a spring booster maybe I was being oversensitive - glad to hear others think the same.
*She's entitled to a home booster as it's a right palaver fitting in with carers, managing hoists & special transport but finally being done tomorrow or next Thursday.
Our theatre had to cancel two different performances last week but not sure if that was covid related.
Hope all the poorlies feel better soon.

I'm glad the in-laws have relieved you of the children and you can rest up.

I'm ok at the moment after 2 paracetamol and 2 ibuprofen but if I don't take those then I'm bedbound unable to sleep for sweating and shivering.

I was wondering if I was being oversensitive by being bothered by it as nobody else in the cast seems to be!

I'm glad that basic meds are keeping the worst at bay, Dics.

So many more cases! Someone in Liv’s class tested positive this morning. I’m so glad his mum sent a message to the what’s app group to let people know. It also prompted me to book Liv’s 2nd appt but the number of vaccination centres was much smaller and there were barely any appts. I was looking to book after 30 July
!! (there is a 12 week gap between 1st and 2nd vaccinations here).

My dad got a call from his GP yesterday asking if they needed oxygen monitoring equipment. Ummm a bit late?! Luckily they are both doing ok.

Glad your dad is OK, Emma. Does your mum have it too?

I am Day 10 now and i had a negative test yesterday. I still have a bit of a cough now and I feel a bit tired but mainly OK.

Hope everyone recovers quickly!

Glad you are feeling better Sal. The tiredness lasted about 2-3 weeks for us, be careful not to assume you are ok, attempt to reroof a shed and then have to go to bed at 7pm :look:  top tip!
