Tonight I’ve done LM+ Core and a little bit of Body Attack, though I quickly realised I lack the coordination for Body Attack and I don’t much like Lisa as an instructor. I’m behind on the Stronger Challenge so hopefully won’t get cut off from it. I’m also exercising 5-6 days a week, so I’m hardly slacking.

I never got into Attack either, Pip.

I’ve had a couple of rest days as I was completely wiped out and my Garmin data was telling me I was needing a break. Just did a 12/3/30 on the treadmill this morning.

Lovely gentle peloton recovery ride yesterday morning, and then some running strength exercises.

5.5 miles club run this evening, the middle couple slightly quicker. I am really quite fatigued at the moment. I’m hoping it’s still maybe a little bit of post-covid

I’m determined to actually get through the Stronger Challenge although at this rate it’s going to take all year. :) I’ve just done Strength Development #2.

Peloton, squats, RDLs, kettlebell chest press, TRX rows, push-ups, Arnolds, streeeeeeeeeeetches.

I really want to make more time in my week to do more of this stuff.

Actually I don’t bring mine down as far as he does there. In front of the face, elbows level with shoulders.

Mine turn more into a full shoulder press up too than that guys seem to. I do drop as low as him at the bottom too.

Anyway I did back and biceps today plus 12/3/30 (it’s a nice mindless cardio and I watch AD house tours while I do it which is fun)

Hill repeats on my own tonight. It’s taken me the rest of the night to warm up!

Shoulders followed by 12/3/30 for me today. Then a swim to cool down too.

I did BodyPump & BodyBalance again yesterday and upped my weights a little. There’s never enough hand weights in the class though; there’s a core of about 5 women who arrive early/set up for each other and take everything. It’s so frustrating. They also set up all the best spots and make it dead awkward for the rest of us as it’s not the best room (beams on the ceiling, weight racks along one wall).

Then I walked 6km delivering leaflets so cancelled Kettlebells again.

Do they take multiples of the same thing, Pip? People are always hogging the 5kg plates in my classes. If the class isn’t full I’ll have two on the bar and one as a free weight, but if it’s fully booked I only take the two for the bar and then use the two 2.5kg stacked if we’re doing squat raises or overhead triceps etc.

No gym today as I was attending a SAC but I’m about to go and meet friends for a wander around the park.

Yeah, they take multiple bar weights AND dumbbells. I’ve been using a kettle for front squats and triceps and carrying my own 2kg dumbbells into class. Would rather 3s but can’t carry them in my bag.

Taking your own weights? That’s dedication

11 miles today - doing my long run today as I’m busy tomorrow. I had to vary between slow pace and goal marathon pace (which is still pretty slow), and take in as many hills as I could - and obviously the bits where I had to speed up were blooming uphill!

Bloody hell, that’s a long way.

I take my own kettlebell on a Monday and Friday too, I keep it in the car. It’s hard enough to find a spot on the room, never mind the weight I want.

I woke up with sore shoulders and neck on Sunday. I still worked out - I did back and biceps and 12/3/30. And had a remedial massage. I’ve been told to lay off shoulder work for a week. Today I just did 12/3/30 on the treadmill.

Sounds sensible, Est, and I hope it feels better soon.

I did my Tuesday run today, having done my Sunday run on Saturday - the rail strikes mean it’s easier for me to run Mon/Weds than tues/thurs this week too.

Anyway :blah: 5.5 miles in the sun and it felt mostly comfortable.

I’ve finished off January with LM+ Grit Cardio and Core #35. I prefer Core to Grit. :)) It was deceptively simple.
