Another while new shiny month! I’m carrying on with Garmin daily suggested workouts until I start my next training plan on Sunday. Today was 10 x speed repeats with recovery in between. 61 mins/10.51km.

Spin tonight, same on Tuesday night. The gym has been my saving grace over the last few weeks, as well as spin I've done a few weights workouts too.

I’m glad you’ve got that outlet, Sal!

Base run for me today 6.82km/38 mins. I’m starting to feel unwell though so not sure if tomorrow’s long run will happen.

Long run day did happen. On the treadmill in case I felt crappy and had to pull the plug. I didn’t though. Was meant to be 90 mins but I was feeling really good and kept going for a cheeky half (21.25km/2:07:22)

I’ll just keep chatting to myself here ;) Did the benchmark run for my half marathon plan this morning. Managed a 1km PB of 4:40!

I’m not starting again until tomorrow. :)) We walked so much on holiday that my feet need a break.

Did a pretty brutal four and a half mile trek on the SW Coast Path yesterday, I was sweating like Fred West watching Groundforce by the end of it.

Like Pip, I have been smashing the walking targets every day since I have been down here in Cornwall, although probably not to the levels that she has. It has been more than enough though.

First official run of my half marathon training plan today. 30 mins easy/5.01km

Kept it as slow as I could and as close to Z2 heart rate.

Hill reps yesterday. I cut it to 4 instead of 8 sets again or I’d never have made it round the cool down mile

I went back to kettlebells last night. It was very tough and I’d stupidly rearranged my post work massage so instantly undid any benefit from that.

I decided to add in some squats and kettlebell swings to the end of my workout on Sunday - my god, the DOMS I had in the following days

So anyway, I considered not going to spin last night but I decided to woman up. It wasn't great but thankfully it seems to be easing today :))

Sometimes just moving helps with the DOMS. Was it the wince when you lower yourself to sit type? They’re the worst!

40 min easy/6.75km run today.

I am really suffering the DOMS after my return to kettlebells on Monday. I was cursing dropping pegs just now as I pegged out the laundry.

I went to summer cover Pilates last night with a different teacher. She was very bossy but I liked her. The class was really full though, and our usual teacher hadn’t told her how many of us to expect.

11.27km this afternoon without resorting to walking. Happy with that.
