Squeak saw her PT for the first time in a while this week and mentioned that she missed the press up challenge they did before. Within moments, L had started a WhatsApp group and signed up all of a her other PT clients. Squeak has added me and her dad too.
It’s 10 a day, and you have to film them.

Good luck! I'm not sure I could do even one press-up unless they were the easy ones you do with your knees on the floor.

Good luck with that, Pip!
I kicked off the month with Body Pump yesterday. I feel less sore today than after the first class back after months and months away a couple of weeks ago, so I’m counting that as a win. I am so feeble these days!

Well done, sounds like you'll breeze the challenge!
I'm back over body weight for deadlift but not quite there for a squat yet. I'm still taking it slow with them as my knee still randomly swells up, despite me stepping away from running for now and concentrating on yoga, swimming and weight training.

Wendy, good to hear you are building up your training.
Class this morning with muscle up practice followed by a
12 min AMRAP
10 ring dips
15 cal row
25 unbroken double unders (or 50 single skips)
A pretty tough workout

Round 2 of CrossFit Open this morning and to be honest very unimpressed with what they've decided. A repeat of the final round from 2022. The last one is always tough, no idea what they were thinking of repeating and putting in here.
I had to stick to the scaled and only managed (there was a lot more but I just didn't have the skills to carryl
21 jumping pull-ups
42 single skips
21 thrusters (20kg)

I proper upped my weights at Pump this morning and we had cake after Balance.
I’ve done my 10 press ups a day too.
I’m a bit worried about the gym; my membership is up for renewal and apparently the owner is no longer offering an annual membership. It looks like it’s £49 a month for two classes a week (I currently do 4), or £69 for unlimited. Which is a huge amount when I paid £480 last year, I think. It might have even been less. I will cry if I can’t do step any more.

That's unusual to not offer an annual membership, even if it's just 11 months for the price of 12 or something.

Interestingly, the gym owner has now told R that he’s not planning to offer her classes when he moves (didn’t know he was moving). I’d already come to terms with not renewing over the past 24 hours, and at least now I know I don’t need to. Hopefully she’ll find somewhere that can accommodate Dance Step because that is my one true cardio love.

Pip, hope it gets sorted soon.
Class this morning with practice on hang squat snatch, no idea how to do it so just stick to drills. Main workout, 5 rounds (20 mi time cap) - 19 cal row, 19 deadlifts (45kg, should have gone a bit heavier), finished around 18mins.

He’s moving the entire gym at the end of April. So I’ve emailed to say I won’t be renewing & wishing him luck with his hyrox. He doesn’t want to offer the other stuff at all any more.
Anyway, 10 press ups a day continues in March and I think I’m getting better at it.

I’ve been to kettlebells tonight at the closer gym. And we’ve all been chatting on the WhatsApp for the other gym and we’re all cancelling. Here’s hoping R finds somewhere else to offer her classes at a similar time to what she currently does.

Still no news on new gym, sadly. So I went to kettlebells this morning. I’m quite resigned to losing Dance Step now. Sad though.

And I went to kettlebells tonight too. God it was tough. I’m done in.

I’ve done 40 press-ups this afternoon to make sure I’m up to date. They’re getting a bit easier.

I never know where my elbows are meant to go with press-ups, out or backwards?! Does that even make sense?

Backwards works the triceps more, and out is more chest.

I have been neglecting exercise due to house selling/buying stress and the stupid cyclone. But I finally got myself in gear and ran 5km today.
