It was a higgidy aubergine masala pie. It wasn’t quite as delicious as hoped but still nice.

The egg looks really good!

Homemade Jaffa cakes. Children were involved hence the rustic look (though I’m sure I’d do no better alone!) but they taste great.

Japanese night tonight. It's probably highly inauthentic (look away Goat!) and I managed to forget to cut things into chopstick-manageable pieces, but it was all really nice. The photos are a bit drive by as everyone was desperate to dig in :))

That looks amazing Lora! Katsu aubergine sounds amazing.

I had to use up a celeriac so slow roasted it for two and a half hours then turned it into celeriac steaks with cafe de paris sauce (sans anchovies) and oven fries. OMG. Y’all have to make this. So, so good. The photo does it no justice and there was salad out of shot, promise :))

Sauces aren't really my strong point and I'd never even eaten it before but I will certainly make it again. It was kind of like béarnaise but easier to make.

What do you use for your carrot curls, Wendy?

Is the black goo tapenade? I love that stuff but my favourite is from Carluccios which is closed. I should make some.

I love tapenade too. I had forgotten it even existed!

Your garlic bread looks delicious.
