Re: Hey! Good lookin’!
I quite like it sweet. :) But happy to hear of non sweet recipes.
C made one pot nduja, fennel & olive spaghetti for dinner. I did have to lay out all the ingredients for him and send him the recipe though. It was nice to get back from the gym and it be ready to eat.

Re: Hey! Good lookin’!
I've never made it myself, only eaten it in the US (from traditional BBQ places in South Carolina with ladies dressed in their Sunday best hats
to "contemporary" versions restaurants in DC and it's all pretty dense. I don't mind dense as long as it's not too sweet, I've definitely had some so sweet I've not actually been able to eat it.
Wendy's looks quite light.

We had about 2/3 of the required cornmeal, which I made up with more plain flour, so that may be why it doesn’t look as dense. It used up the cornmeal though, which was the plan!

It wasn’t a criticism, Wendy!
Liv and I made baked apple cider donuts last night. They don’t taste like real donuts but they’re pretty good!

What kind of cobbler is it, bramble?
We had S’s family over for lunch. He was in charge of pizza and salads and so made tiramisu (at 9am) and amaretti (first time I’ve made these!) to use up the leftover egg whites.

I’m mostly jealous of how sunny it was! My mum sent me home with an M&S tiramisu for Squeak.

I know this is just bog standard fish and chips but these are more air fryer homemade chips and they were beyond lush.
And I did a double cheese kimchi toastie with wild garlic butter cheese topping.

I’ll do you a toastie Pip. With a side of chips. I love the M&S seeded bread and it is particularly good as a toastie.

I'm sure it wasn't inferior at all Goat.
Twat, I guess I cheated really. Made chips, parboiled, roughed em up, let cool down. Really they're not air fried as I put duck fat in the drawer and pre-heated it to 200, then cooked for 20 mins. Then I let them cool again before giving them 7 mins on 240 and they came out like that. I was trying to minic a triple cooked chip. They could've been done without all the cooling down stages I guess but I was trying to make a good deep fat fried chip without the deep fat element as it was quite shallow.

They look worth the effort!
The girls wanted to try a super noodles pot so they had them tonight as I knew they wouldn’t touch this lovely warm puy lentil and harissa cauliflower salad.
