Re: Hey! Good lookin’!
I had soup last night, inspired by this week’s debate.

Looks nice, Wendy. I love charred cabbage.
Goes without saying I approve of the soup

It’s from an air fryer book but easy to adjust for the oven.

I bet that will be good! We didn't have any sesame seeds in, but didn't miss them.

Re: Hey! Good lookin’!
This is a terrible photo but the deep fried dauphinoise with sriracha mayo (top right) that D had last night was a thing of beauty and made me think of a few folk here that might appreciate it. My French onion soup, with pastry top (the cheese was underneath as well) was also fabulous. In fact the whole meal was great - Patron in Kentish Town.

Oh I want. Both things that sound absolutely ideal in this weather in the right hands (and possibly disastrous in the wrong hands  )

It's not ever the kind of food I fancy but they were perfect for the weather. As were the double pastry mains - ox cheek bourguignon and a mushroom, truffle and spinach parcel.

Re: Hey! Good lookin’!
I made a hazelnut, pear and ricotta cake yesterday and today - a real labour of love as it needed to set in the fridge for a few hours after it was assembled. We finally ate some tonight and it was so worth it
