It was so good! I should have made it for when we have people over but I guess we’ll just have to eat it quickly :)

Not something I would eat, but Sproglette’s tomato and basil quiche (school food tech) looked pretty good. P reported it was, albeit a bit thin.

It does look good! I bet she's miles ahead of her peers in that class :)

Does she just cook omnivore stuff then P eats it all?

She did a great job! George didn't make anything as advanced as that in Y8! Also, did they have to provide the tart tin or did school?

Is everyone vegan apart from P?

My colleague suggested making the hazelnut cake with raspberries next time and I am totally going to do it.

She's vegetarian again rather than vegan nowadays, she's not a quiche eater though. School always offers a vegetarian alternative she can do (none of us ever actually tried her accidentally vegan sweet potato curry though as it did not look appealing  ). I look forward to seeing what Elvis gets to cook when she goes there. She's spent the past few weeks drumming on a table after she asked about the skins of the djembe drums and wouldn't play them, so I can't see her doing anything other than vegan friendly food tech tasks.

ETA - we had to provide the tin, which is probably why it was a bit thin as it was the nearest size we had! They even requested it wasn't loose-bottomed but I sent it in anyway.

Good job on the quiche, that is quite advanced. I don't know if either of my kids will end up doing food tech or the like at high school. It's not mandatory, but something like that is available as an elective.

I’ve now googled and saved a recipe for that, Pip. It looks good!

I’ve just made a batch of sausage rolls.

I could eat this whole page but instead I ate roasted Brussels sprouts Caesar salad. It was lush.

(I didn’t eat that whole dish)

They were a massive hit for lunchboxes this week, and kids have requested more, Luna.

I’ve been putting off this meal for days as just wasn’t feeling it, but made it last night and it was good (firecracker beef).
