That looks fabulous, Disco. A friend recently made egg mayo sandwiches for afternoon tea, with a bit of spring onion in the mix - I am desperate to recreate it as it was so delicious.

Thanks Abs! Spring onion is usually my go to ingredient as part of egg mayo but I used the cress and chives from the garden today as I wanted the egg mayo to stick around the half egg and thought the spring onion would inhibit the sticking factor.

The BNS was great, That dressing. I actually didn't have tahini so used unsweetened peanut butter. I've got loads left so I'm going to zing it up with lots of lime and use it as a coleslaw-y salad dressing.

Here’s mine for comparison! I finished mine in the oven because my dish as too big for the grill :))

I did mine in the oven and for full transparency it was two pot because I made a bechamel sauce enriched with an egg yolk instead and I used provolone cheese.

I was thinking that your cheesey top looked better than mine! I love bechamel. Maybe some feta on the top would be good too.

I prefer the look of yours. It looks richer.
Feta would've been perfect but I didn't have any so the saltiness of the provolone did the trick.

The pastitsio is incredibly good. We followed the recipe to the letter, apart from removing a portion for Squeak before putting the topping on.

Looks so good - yours has a nice top too. Maybe my pan was too big so it got too spread out.
