What do you do with it? My tiny dill plant of a few weeks ago is now the size of a small bush and I haven't got a clue what to do with it all!

The Nigella chicken, leek and peas traybake is lovely but I don’t think you eat meat do you?

I have a Bill Granger salmon salad with green goodness dressing recipe that uses loads of dill.
Braised broad beans is another good one for dill.

I'm an occasional meat eater Squizz so I will look that up, thank you. And I have a fridge drawer full of broad beans and had forgotten the braising idea so that's another meal sorted. I'll google the Bill Grainger recipe and hope I don't have to look at his stupid gurning face.

He really does have an annoying face , I get a bit of a Jamie Oliver smug vibe from him.
I really want broad beans as well now.

I kind of think he could be Jason Donovan’s more irritating cousin.

Normally my food isn't worthy of this thread but Mr D made an old favourite last night which I'm sure I picked up from here years ago
Halloumi asparagus and potato bake with added tender stem broccoli
We have this between two of us no bread
https://www.rivercottage.net/recipes/as ... s-halloumi
I got local Cheshire potatoes which were incredible just naturally buttery

Dinner is various curries and fizz. Though I have Cobra in the fridge too.
We decided not to use serving dishes for just us two.
P’s chicken dish will do him several servings.

That’s how most of my food makes its way to my face. Not direct from the pan necessarily - more often it’s direct from the plastic takeaway-style tub that I store separate portions in. Especially for soups and breakfast things, i.e. when I’m not making any fresh sides to go along with a dish.

It looks rather appealing all served up in pots like that!

I made this tonight as a side with a lamb curry and it was lovely. I had super-cheap mangos from Aldi which were perfect. I didn't, however, have pandan and I am not keen on lemongrass so it wasn't entirely the same. Also I put Amchoor in for a bit of sourness. So I basically bastardised the recipe but it was delicious.

That’s the important bit surely?
The girls wanted to try celery in their salad. They hate it, of course.

That looks lovely though Wendy!
We have used up our sack of flour TBF, I gave away 6kg, but that does still mean we've used 10kg of bread flour in about two months I do not KNOW why my clothes don't fit me anymore.
I might order another one. It was good having a nice ready supply.

I'm glad you liked it! I didn't have pandan either but I like the idea of adding mango powder. I loved the sweet and sourness of it. I must make it again soon.Ruby wrote: ↑Fri Jun 12, 2020 11:04 pmI made this tonight as a side with a lamb curry and it was lovely. I had super-cheap mangos from Aldi which were perfect.
