Disco, is it just eggs in your toast?
These are bouikos, from Honey & Co, which are like a savoury scone - they used up some scraps of feta and cheddar, a very sad looking spring onion and the end of a pot of sour cream. There's also lots of nigella seeds in there. Best eaten while still v warm, from the oven. I think they lasted about 30 mins between the two of us.

They look really nice, abs, as does the macaroni cheese, Smunder
The bottom slice of bread had french mustard spread on it, topped with a slice of smoked ham, sliced mushrooms, grated cheddar and then the egg in the top slice's frame.

Ah, I can see some of that, now you explain, thanks.
Bramble, the recipe is online in various places. I have made them previously with greek yogurt and that was also fine.

Doesn’t look to appetising but we had a load of random bits of veg to use up, leeks, half an onion, half a dozen going soggy carrots, a bag of Brussels sprouts and a couple of spuds. So I made a sort of veg hotpot, fried leeks and onions, added flour then chicken stock (from stockpot thingies) added rest of chunky cut veg cooked for a bit then put in a casserole dish and topped with thinly sliced potato. It’s going in the fridge ready to stick in the oven for tomorrow’s dinner. Im already incredibly excited about a totally veg dinner, never thought I’d say that!
Oh I added Worcestershire sauce, tablespoon of english mustard and S&P.

I made a very poor Victoria sponge. The only thing right about it is the jam
buttercream ratio.

That looks great but is it a chocolate Victoria sponge? I wish I had it.

Wow, emma, how cool!
Pip, pip, pip!
I thought about a Victoria sponge earlier in the week but was out-voted. And thanks, they were lovely.
Jude, that sounds lovely - report back, please!

I need bouikos in my life. I'm low carb, so that's not going to happen, but they look immense!
I'd also like to try Disco's egg and toast now that I know all that's in it.
Thanks for the green onion tip, emma, I'm going to try it.

You could just stick what you want in the egg thing, FiveO. I would suggest you lightly butter the topside of the frame or brush with olive oil.
I did know that bout spring onions but had forgotten. I will do it with some. I wonder if it works with leeks. It must do.
