That salad looks great, emma. I'm craving crunch and vegetation.

The salad does indeed look perfect for now - delicious, Emma. I’m craving the same, disco, so am making fish tacos with loads of crunchy vegetables like red cabbage.
Great thread title!

I love the thread title and emma’s dish has given me such strong cravings for salad! Gorgeous bowl too.

Re: Hey! Good lookin’!
Here are my fish tacos with crunchy spicy cod goujons, guacamole, red cabbage slaw, and lime crema. They were really good. Next time I think I’d also make a tomatoey salsa as I think that would add something extra. Also, I fucked up the tortillas so resorted to my emergency shop-bought ones!

That looks lovely Ashley!
I really enjoyed this. I just pan fried the sea bass then served it with the salad & added buttered baby new potatoes.

Thanks!
That looks fantastic, Pip. Yours looks even nicer than the picture in the recipe. So fresh and healthy and tasty. I might give it a go soon too.

That looks and sounds delicious! Is it toasted pine nuts and melted cheese on top?

I love these!
Great use of PiBs and sprouts!
And I agree that yours looks superior to the other picture, Pip. It looks really fresh.
I had smoked salmon to use up so we had smoked salmon linguine. It was lush.

Amazing. What a way to use up leftovers. Plenty time for fresh food in Jan!
The smoked salmon linguine looks gorgeous too.

Re: Hey! Good lookin’!
This thread is great! I'm trying to cook more fish so this is good inspo.
I've only tried to make corn tortillas once but they weren't great. I bulk buy Cool Chile Company ones in 1kg packs and freeze them now.
S made another dish from the Meera Sodha book last night - mushroom mapo tofu which was nice but very unphotogenic and we were missing the chilli bean sauce which I think was an important ingredient! I've ordered some and will try it again.

I’m going to make poha rice with smoked mackerel soon (when I get the rice & fish, so probably at the weekend).

Re: Hey! Good lookin’!
Do you need the Sri Lankan katta sambol paste too? It sounds good. I'm not that fond of mackerel although I try because it's so good for you.
S is suck a stickler for recipes he bought 2 packets of shitake mushrooms yesterday rather than just use slightly less than the recipe suggested. I guess I'll be making something with shitake mushrooms in the near future :))

Re: Hey! Good lookin’!
I've just eaten Creamy Lemon Chicken from Pinch of Nom.
It was quick and easy (I used leftover cooked chicken), and considering it only has a few calories more than a KitKat wasn't bad at all. That's their photo - I troughed it down before thinking to take one of mine. Plus, I halved the sauce and put chickpeas in M's, so none of it looked great
