Oh god that's it. I have broad beans,I have mint and oregano, I have a kid leg steak out defrosting, and Mr G is being sent to the shop for feta and dill. I don't quite know exactly what's going to happen, but it's going to be Greek. :))

 I’m pleased others do the hang and rotate thing and it’s not just me!
Your food looks gorgeous emma.

Make sure you post photos goat, I love pretty much anything Greek.

Leftover kleftiko tonight as mr had a roast dinner yesterday so it didn’t get eaten. Then the leftover beef from yesterday I think I’m going to make into a chilli with the chorizo that’s been hanging round the fridge for a week for tomorrow night. I love a good chilli.

This is the swirl recipe but I switched the cumin seeds for nigella seeds because I thought the spinach would be earthy enough (it's 3 big bags of spinach!!) I also only used one packet of filo which was plenty.

There's no feta in it but you could definitely just crumble some in before you roll it up. It would be nice served with a feta dip too.

The rice was S's contribution to the meal and he doesn't follow recipes. He cooked garlic in oil and butter - stirred in the rice to coat then added cinnamon, allspice and water (twice the volume of the rice) and some vegetable stock powder. Lid on and after 5 mins add the double podded broad beans and peas then lid on again until the rice is cooked. He finished it with dill, parsley and caramelised onions :ready:

That looks lovely.

I really liked that lemon and lentil soup - emma (?) mentioned before. Monk and I cried laughing when I told him what was for dinner that day because it sounded so worthy and unappetising in my delivery of its title, but it was really nice so I must get that and your/ Nigella soup into my life soon.

We usually have soup on Mondays as it was quick and easy and not to heavy after aqua fit or WI so I'll point it in Mr Ds direction
Thank you

That delicious looking soup sent me to the Nigella website, Pip. I've got into a bit of a rut soupwise and there are some lovely ones there.

Well I know it’s no oil painting :mog: but I kind of enjoyed these black tahini noodles. Monk was not impressed so will have to have toast later.

That sounds lovely!

I made a super fancy carbonara, with proper guanciale, a really good Pecorino and my beloved cacklebean eggs. However the yolks are so rich that it looks like I got home drunk and melted a load of orange cheese slices over some pasta.

I’d already put a poor man’s version of carbonara on my plan for next week, but it won’t live up to that in a million years. Not least because I had to google guanciale.
