She’s posted a couple of reels on her IG using recipes from it too.

Thank you! There's definitely enough there to pique my interest so I shall give it a go. I've only really used the air fryer to cook tofu or veg to add to other components, never for a whole meal.

Had anyone else bought the new Anna Jones? I got lured in while ordering something else. It looks decent but I've not tried anything yet.

I also bought Comfort & Joy by Ravinder Bhogal, as I still love the Jikoni book so much. This one is veggie, and a lot of the dishes are vegan. I'm going to cook various things from it for friends at the weekend, and the stuff I've tried so far has been good.

I also bought Good Eggs by Ed Smith, at I want D to make more weekend breakfasts/ brunch for me. :))

Yes! It was a gift from S the first weekend it came out. It looks good (like all Anna Jones books) but I haven’t cooked from it yet.

I’ve pre-ordered Letitia Clark’s Wild Figs and Fennel. I love her desserts book and have cooked from it loads. Her books are beautiful.

Waterstones put the Wild Figs and Fennel book out a week early. It’s a really lovely book and I think you’d like it, Abs. There are so many recipes going on my list!

Strawberry tiramisu
Fig, gorgonzola and fennel flower pizzette
Fig caprese
Strawberry and fig leaf jam
Baked ricotta cheesecake with raspberry and rose
Sausage lasagne with ricotta, pecorino and fennel
Braised chicken with fennel and grapes
Mandarin curd pavlova with frosted bay and yoghurt cream

Thanks emma, I'll have a look. I try to buy something from my local Waterstones each month, so maybe this will be it!

I've been cooking a bit from AJ. Hit and miss for my taste, as I increasingly find with her. The frizzled spring onion dip and smoked cornbread (but not the accompanying black beans, they need tweaks) have been my faves so far. And I need to remember, I'm never going to like a one pot spaghetti.

That Fig + Fennel book sounds great.

I don't think I get on with Anna Jones recipes. I don't think I've found anything other than the mushroom lasagne nice. And they are high effort

She was on the Bookshelfie podcast this week and I do like her, but you’re right. Food is her life so she spends way longer than most people have to make things.

Her first book is her best. Loads of my favourite recipes are from that one.

I just bought Dinner by the lady who runs the Recipe Tin Eats website and it looks faaaabulous. I shall be making Thai chicken satay skewers for dinner tomorrow.

I can’t wait for C to go travelling next. I’m going to make everything from Greekish that he’d hate, starting with spanakopita baked potatoes.

Liv bought me Greekish for US mothers day (yes I know I'm miking it :)) ) and I've not cooked so much so quickly from a new cookery book in ages. I guess it's helped that it's the perfect time of year for summery greek food.

Favourites so far are:
Crispy cauliflower and lentils with herby green olive dressing (the crispy lentils are so good and the dressing is delicious)
Lamb and halloumi kofte (grating an onion is an unpleasant experience so I blitzed it in a mini chopper then next time - the grated halloumi mixed in to the lamb is so delicious)
One pan pastitsio(I used lamb instead of beef/pork - this was delicious, love the texture of pasta cooked this way and it was very easy).
Crispy rice, pomegranate and herb salad (love the crispy bits of rice)
Apricot and orange blossom mess (I thought this would be too sweet but it was delicious. The lemon zest and juice in the roasted apricots made them taste a bit like a sour sweet).

So I’ve also been cooking loads from Greekish. Here are my hits:

The cauliflower & lentil salad (made a batch for work lunches this week).
Pulled chicken gyros - made these with chicken thighs and only marinated for the minimum time, but Squeak loved it.
Apricot & orange blossom Eton mess (made a batch of the apricots for breakfasts with granola & yoghurt).
Triple fennel pork belly tonight - so good! I’m mad about fennel anyway.
The spanakopita jacket potatoes.

My one complaint is that the ingredients lists isn’t done by component, it’s a cumulative list so you have to keep checking in the method and I’m not that sort of cook!
