Happy birthday, Jude! How lovely of S.

I could go one of those scones too, warmed with lots of butter :ready:

Thankyou all for the birthday wishes, I can confirm it’s very lemony and the lightest sponge I have genuinely ever tasted, even mr was impressed and had a slice and he doesn’t do sweet at all.

I’m caught between thrilled for her and angry I have a 9yr old who bakes brilliantly whilst mine come out like bricks 😂😉

She can become the resident patisserie chef, Jude. That’s a win in my book.

This looks like a brown blob but it is in fact a pretzel topped with truffle mayo, mushrooms, fried egg, cheese, pretzel lid, bacon and more cheese. [/ironlung]

This is nothing compared to all the recent food here, but my crushed roast potatoes were spot on tonight.

A chicken and chorizo thing. But I could have happily just had the potatoes.

I made Rukmini Iyer’s keralan prawn curry traybake, minus the spinach because I forgot it but I don’t think it missed it.

Ooh that looks and sounds good. How does it compare with Ipi prawn curry?

I made chicken stock yesterday so then made chicken pho. Today, I had smoked salmon salad with horseradish crème fraiche for lunch.

Different, but still good. Less rich.

That salad! :faint:

Sounds lush but I do love the Ipi curry. I need to get some prawns soon.

We have finally finished the bag of millet, and it was probably best dish - Roasted carrot and fennel with millet.

We had teriyaki courgettes the other day and it was lovely. I had leftovers for lunch yesterday.

I made meatballs for eight from burgers that cost a pound and they were lush.

Meatballs & cheesy slop. It was really nice. Could have done with a green element but it’s Monday.

I’ve been using roasted rhubarb in the overnight oats I take to work, and this morning popped some in my hot porridge. Along with some golden syrup (which has leaked on the cupboard shelf).
