Re: Hey! Good lookin’!
Not the most appetising of photos (I'd started eating!) but chicken stew with dumplings. We had it last night with the dumplings steamed but made a fresh batch and fried them for lunch today!
I used this recipe but used leeks instead of onions.

Re: Hey! Good lookin’!
It's basically a simple dumpling mix which is then formed into a round, cut in quarters and fried in a bit of oil. I put a few drops of water in the pan to help with steam and put the lid on, let it crisp and puff up then did the same for the other side.
The one in the recipe I posted was a little soft as I added too much liquid the first time but the second batch was perfect.

I forgot to say I used leeks instead of onions.
We'll definitely make it again!

You forgot you did say it in your first post! :))
I haven't had a chicken casserole for years and will remedy this soon.

I struggled to find crushed pineapple because I hadn’t planned properly, so I chopped up a tin of sliced pineapple.

Yeah, I mean I've never even seen a tin of crushed pineapple. This year was the first time I've ever found angelica, and thecrystalised pineapple, I've made done with dried bits of anything almost instead of those items.

It’s what Grandma put in the recipe, and I’d not heard of it before I got hold of her handwritten notebook. I usually pop it on my grocery order, never use it for anything else. I’m not sure what you would use it for.

Trust the man from DM to have this under control. I've never seen that before.
You watch now, from this day forth it will leap out at me from every supermarkets' shelves.

I feel like it is probably in many a retro cake recipe.
Coincidentally I noticed it in a stuffing recipe the other day, to go alongside ham.

I have a carrot cake recipe that calls for pineapple crush. It's very hard to get hold of. I just pulverise a tin of pineapple chunks
