Blondiejude wrote:Not a new invention as such but Lidl do a Sicilian lemon cheesecake in their freezer section which is gorgeous, the lemon bit on top is really, really tart (like makes your eyes water) and for once its a cheesecake with a decently thick biscuit base. I bought one on Saturday and it didn't even make it into my freezer. The whole thing was gone by sunday and Mr B didn't even know it had been in the house
Ooh that sounds nice! Better than nice! Like you, I'm always on the look-out for a decent base... most supermarket kinds are flimsy and unsatisfying. Thanks for the tip!

I know the base is the best part but it's so often an excuse for a bottom layer.

I had that cheesecake last year before I went vegan, seriously the best cheesecake I'd had in years. They also do a chocolate one which is really nice but the lemon was the clear winner.

Castello blue! I thought I hated all blue cheese, but this is utterly delicious. Now I'm on a mission to find similar ones. Dolcelatte? Is that like this?

Chocolate you say Sarah?!!! I may investigate that.

Castello is quite mild and more creamy indigo, so dolcelatte might be worth a try or have you tried Saint Agur? It's in a triangular packet and from what I remember that was similar?

Cambozola is delicious and mild for a blue cheese.

St Agur do a boursinny texture/style one and a creamy one in a pot. They're both quite good standbys to have with gnocchi or pasta or risotto.

That sounds good, MoFo.

I was right on the first page. The dirty 'cheese' popcorn flavouring is even better with melted butter.

Dairy Milk Tiffin. Like fruit and nut but with biscuit instead of the nut  I think it is an Irish thing because it was in the Irish section of Tesco but it is awesome.

I've just seen they do Dairy Milk bars with popcorn in too.

I had a Dairy Milk thing with Ritz crackers in it yesterday. I - obviously - liked the saltiness with the sweet.

I saw those in the petrol station. Also dairy milk with Lu (which is some kind of french biscuit; sweet and not salty).
