That’s brilliant, PD, I hope it went down well.

My baby is 5 tomorrow  the brief this year was a Minecraft cake, despite not even owning a computer game console, so I’m not sure where that came from but he was very insistent

All quite simple though as it’s too fecking hot and I am still emotionally scarred by the monster truck birthday cake of 2020 that I had to make in similar weather

Space in the middle will be candles.

Looks great! Happy birthday to O!

J's July birthday nearly always means I'm trying to cover a cake in fondant in sweltering heat, so I sympathise :)

That's brilliant!

So far this year's requests are just a circle banana cake with yellow icing, and a rectangle strawberry cake with brown icing which is a relief, especially as Tim doesn't really know the difference between banana flavour and vanilla (he claims every vanilla ice cream he eats is banana). I think Topsy also just wants a cake that is pink and if we tell her it's strawberry flavour will be fine. :look:

It was Biggie’s birthday yesterday and he wanted a “lady-bug” cake as he is really into Miraculous, again pretty easy to achieve with a bought figure and some black spots.

Unlike the boy’s joint birthday cake (for their party last weekend) which was Avenger’s theme and I knew better than to attempt myself  but thought it was worth a share as I gave nothing other than the brief of “two tiers of superhero stuff” and the cake maker created this. I had to collect it and the drive home was terrifying

I can't see the ladybird but the avengers one is fantastic!

Ah I don’t know what I did there  I was trying to change them the right way up. I really shouldn’t put my ladybird that close to the avengers one though

I love the Miracoulous cake. My girls were (and still are aged 25+) total Ladybug fans.
Let me admit that BlackCat is pretty dreamy.

The ladybug is so sweet and Avengers one is amazing! I always panic cutting into such elaborate creations though.

I got really invested in Miraculous when V watched it. I was gutted that she reverted back to Cry Babies ( ) as her cartoon of choice.

Both cakes are great!
