I’ll play along. This week has been/will be:

Burgers on brioche buns with homemade chips
Shredded salsa chicken tacos
Steak, pepper sauce, onions rings and pasta
Ham fried rice (I found some leftover Christmas ham in the freezer)
Pasta and meatballs
Lamb chops, salads (a cous cous, sweet pot and kale one and a potato salad) and tiger bread

We need to do this - I’m currently overwhelmed by two dinners and pack lunches. And after losing 2/3 of our freezer stock to a power outage we’ve got a lot fewer options as back up for lack of planning.
Half-ten?! Half-ten?! I've never been up at half-ten! What happens?

Oh no. Did you lose mainly ingredients or batch cooking/leftovers?

I’m trying to use up the brexit stash before I start a new one. There’s only P who will eat the emergency tinned meats now - he’s thrilled.

I need to get back into this. It's getting boring repeating things all the time.

This week in no particular order:

Fish
Goulash (American goulash so nothing like goulash)
Chicken salad
Chilli in pita
Out on Thursday for a Jamaican vegan feast :ready:
Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either, just fuck off and leave me alone.

What is American goulash? (I know, google).

I need to do this, but I don't really know what I'm making this week. Next week.

This is the recipe. It's a basic mince/tomato sauce based pasta dish. It's very tasty but not goulash!

Ah! I am familiar with this, at least in its "casserole" version. I believe it featured on the buffet table at a Christmas dinner (US), which did not feel entirely festive. :)) I wonder how it got called goulash?

Roast chicken, JPs and salad
Cold roast chicken as above (no students, the rest of us are happy to eat the same thing twice if it's a favourite).
Quiche & tabbouleh
Quorn chilli
Sweet chilli salmon, new potatoes and green veg
Pizza*
Oven fish and chips *

*I am taking the children away at the end of the week so have planned super easy meals for P to cook for the students, although it's just occurred to me he'll have way more time to cook when not trying to wrangle recalcitrant children to bed.

Bean hotpot? :look:

Tonight was halloumi fajitas.

Tuesday - Lemon courgette pasta
Wednesday - Orange and walnut salad with blue cheese
Thursday - beans on toast for Zirk, I'm going to book club so cheese and wine.
Friday - hotdogs and popcorn movie night. I'm trying these. https://www.tesco.com/groceries/en-GB/p ... /282489053. They look a bit grim but smothered with onions and mustard I'm sure I won't notice.
