He did. He said he liked it apart from the fig. It was all eaten except for the piece of fig he could leave.

The bns and chickpea curry I made yesterday was really, really nice. We were both amazed to enjoy it so much as we can take or leave bns.

Pizza and frozen potato product
Salmon and mushroom ramen
Butter chicken, moong dal, mushroom pilau rice
Savoy, pancetta, pine nut, mozzarella pasta
Roast pork, spuds, savoy

Do you have a recipe? I’m not a huge fan of bns either and have two to use up.

It's a bit of a cheat with curry paste - I specifically wanted to use up some I had in the fridge (tikka paste) but I would make it again using spices - and I used two tomatoes and quarter of a tin of chopped toms plus I had creme fraiche not yoghurt.

I am sounding like the people in the reviews "...I used beef instead of salmon, left out the beans because I had a cauliflower to use, added Bisto mixed with mushroom ketchup and it was the best curry I've ever had...".

I’m laughing here as that’s pretty much my approach to cooking disco 😂I agree with geek, I find most squashes far to sweet but I made a curry (Rick stein I think?) with butternut and it was surprisingly nice. Needed more spice and curry powder but I always find that with his recipes to be honest. I think it’s just a bland slightly sweet vegetable that needs help.

That made me laugh

I added Thai yellow paste as I had no red and some Gochuchang paste to my roasted BN squash along with a can of coconut milk and stock to make a spicy soup. It definitely needs spice to cut down on the sweetness.

Aubergine goop with risotto balls
Dahl with chickpea fritters
Orzo, lentils & feta with veggie meatballs
Kimchi pancakes

Not necessarily in that order as I'm in bed now & have forgotten to take the leftover risotto out of the freezer.

Have you tried that before?

You’ve reminded me I have some preserved lemons I need to use.

No this is the first time. I'm also going to make a sort of dirty martini with them and the lemony brine.
