Chinese supermarket feast. I am stuffed!
Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either, just fuck off and leave me alone.

That looks fantastic, brambs!
I did a not-Thanksgiving style dinner for my family yesterday. There were 10 of us I stripped it back significantly compared to the number of dishes you’d have with more of a pot luck/more cooks approach! There was the bones rolled turkey breast, US style stuffing (AKA dressing), corn pie, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, green beans and gravy. And emma_p’s apple ginger crisp for pudding (which I cocked up somehow, so was a bit improvised but still lovely).
I didn’t do any sweet potatoes or pumpkin pie, bread rolls, mac cheese or sprouts. Frankly I didn’t have enough dishes to make anything else!

That looks really delightful. And so nice to be able to cook for your family.
We made a spiced hot pot last night from Persiana. First hotpot ever. Would do again.

This is nothing in comparison to the amazing food on the last page, but I cooked for the first time in our new house (and the first homecooked food in a few days)

Modified Jamie O beef noodles. Used to make this all the time, and remembered when I was unpacking my cooking books.

Whole caul-cheese.
This is the first time Monk has willingly eaten and asked for more cauliflower cheese.
I realise it’s looks like baked brain in a sea of spinal fluid. You can even see the severed brain stem on the bottom left.

That looks lovely, Dic. I would like bread and/or chips with it please.
And I could smash those beef noodles too

I thought I had chips in the freezer but didn't! Nor did I have any bread. I had about four new potatoes but at least I didn't have to share those with M as I thought he wouldn't be interested in the brain so he had a different dinner plus half a brain.
I agree the beef noodles dish looks good.

I most definitely did not make these myself, but someone in my new ‘hood was selling these super cute cupcakes so I bought half a dozen for my team at work.
