That all looks so good - even the paneer!
Heebie Jeebie wrote: Mon Jun 22, 2020 8:15 pm Your not great naan looks delicious. As do the giant rolls further up the page. The crust looks perfect on them.

However the rest of you have a way to go before your cooking begins to approach the standard of mine. Behold.
The only thing your meal lacks is cheese. Then it would be perfect.

Yes. You needed cheese heebie but honestly you just summed up my meals for the last three months. See also: toasties. With literally anything in them 😂

Mackerel with rhubarb sauce, buckwheat, beetroot and horseradish. I think I'd have preferred the beans on toast.

You must! Make the two spice mixes in advance though, or you'll be cursing towards the end!

Also not pictured, but we made the Viceroy's Old Fashioned, also from the Dishoom book. I think you have to leave it to infuse for 3 weeks, so we made it a while ago. I'm not a big whisky drinker, but it was very nice.

Failed execution. This is the state of them after TWO HOURS in the kitchen, which apparently wasn’t anticipated so dinner was also considerably later than usual. And definitely not worth the wait.

Oh no! They look tasty though? Are they tempura style spring rolls?

I got rid of the unsolicited sweet potato. :humble: Spiced SP fritters, yoghurt/mint dip, chick pea salad.

Not all that photogenic but Sproglette had meatballs for her D&T task this week, so she made aubergine ones from our Leon book. P helped. I think it’s the first time she’s willingly eaten aubergines!

They hadn’t had eaten before the delivery came so they requested fruit salad for breakfast.

I rarely eat fruit but your platters do make me want it. It's so expensive though especially when I have it in my head I don't like it.

That does look amazing (apart from the banana  )

Evidence of pizza night. This was G’s choice which was prosciutto, mushroom and egg:

I missed this. No, just similar to summer rolls but fried. We think maybe the oil was too deep. They were definitely overfilled.

I eat more fruit if it’s chopped like that, but I’m too tight to buy it prepared. Fortunately there’s 3 of us that eat it so it’s worth it.

G looks happy, and so he should!
