I could but they are very chunky sausages and I have trained myself to only have two sausages rather than my default holy trinity ideal.

Oh god chips and curry sauce. If that was your favourite I whole heartedly agree.
I’m cooking tonight for the first time in two months (we’ve been toasties/beans/no dinner is us for about 8 weeks now) cod baked in foil in lemon juice with roasted veg and chorizo. I’ve done it with orange and oregano like nigellas chicken bake in an effort to stop me thinking sod it and having a packet of crisps instead.

Yes the chips and curry were my favourite I really want them again soon but the lady from the Chinese takeaway now recognises me and says hello when she sees me in the street so I think I need to take a bit of a break

No, she must love you. Also, I will have a go on your roast chicken please.
TURBOT because that's the sort of day it's been, with lobster bisque sauce, tarragon and shiso, and spring greens. It was very nice and the world can do one.

That looks amazing, Goat!! Like restaurant food.
Chips and curry sauce sounds good too. I was bemoaning the lack of good chip shop choices down south to my Manchester colleagues as they were telling me about battered slices of potato and chips with curry sauce.

Fritters Are these not available everywhere? Not every chippy does them here but they are the most wonderful thing in the world.

They're known as scallops or specials in these parts. They are amazing.

I haven't ever had battered potato from a fish and chip shop but it's given me a massive craving for vegetable tempura. I love the potatoes in that

I have also never had the battered potato but want it. I have also never had curry sauce as I grew up in a very traditional fish and chip culture where anything other than s&v and mushy peas was heresy. I need to adjust this.
Spaghetti alle vongole. This made me happy.

They are nice from the chippy but even better from the Chinese takeaway. Its worth trying them separately, and then another time together in a long foil tray, for two very different and exciting experiences. I could eat chips and curry sauce every day.Mountain Goat wrote: ↑Wed Jul 01, 2020 9:25 pm I have also never had the battered potato but want it. Although an ex of mine used to like chips with Indian curry sauce. I couldn't get on with that at all.

I can't remember the last time I had chips. I must rectify this.
I went with an old turtle favourite tonight, smoked mackerel dauphinoise.

We had lamb kofta, mujaddara, hummus, tiny sweet peppers and a minty yoghurt sauce. It was lush and there's loads leftover for lunch tomorrow
I love curry sauce with chippy chips.
