Not Rosa but I use tinned chickpeas and their fine. Sometimes I’ll roast them but other time’s I just rinse and chuck them in.

I’m sorry Del, I thought maybe you were! Here’s to you getting somebody else to do it all soon.

Sausages with pearl barley casserole, and a cinammon tear apart bread that Sproglette made.

Me too. I made this amazing chickpea and feta salad after watching an instagram live last week and it was amazing. Cooking the onions really made it: https://www.yousaytomatocooking.com/rec ... herbsalad/

Olive I used this recipe for the sushi which just I randomly googled but only used cucumber ones because I ran out of patience. I sprinkled toasted sesame seeds over the rice before we rolled them up too: https://www.taste.com.au/recipes/sushi- ... 8c6448efec

I'd love some of the cinnamon bread! I love that kids are getting to do loads more cooking. George is so enthusiastic. I wish he was as enthusiastic to do his school work :))

Her teacher said she’s planning to set a weekly cooking task in the last half term. I’ve pointed out to Sproglette that she’ll have the added bonus of having to find a suitable recipe for us lot if the recipes aren’t suitable.

We had kedgeree for the first time in a long time. Sadly Tesco didn’t bring me the chestnut Maran eggs I ordered.

I am impressed by kids cooking - I am working so it’s not like i have more time to cook with them but L (just 5) has displayed amazing self sufficient tendencies (today while I was on a call he made himself a peanut butter and Nutella (i know...) sandwich) whereas the big one (7.5) looks at me like I have two heads when I suggest he makes his own toast when he complains about having to wait for me

We made a really tasty pizza (left the dough in the fridge a day longer than initially planned and it worked out). And I also made random stuff pasta bake (pesto pasta that needed used along with leftovers and random fridge things). And then lunch today...homemade tostada with charred spicy smoky corn, avocado, lettuce.

Good egg action, iPod.

I like the tostada and what is tahini hummous, Wendy? No chickpeas?

Such good food!

I made a pancetta and mushroom spelt risotto tonight. I'm sure there was just as much mushroom as pancetta but it doesn't look it.

Just hummus with extra tahini, lemon juice and water to make a dressing of sorts.
