Oh god, pie and fried chicken. :love2: We are having fried chicken tomorrow but sadly no buttermilk.

Here are two dinners I enjoyed this week - Hake with romesco, and some freekeh and kale just dressed with olive oil, lemon, garlic, chilli, herbs -

And this tonight was delicious but I wouldn't blame anyone for not believing me. Pasta with butternut squash, crispy sprouts, walnuts, garlic, sage and chilli (and parmesan).

Tofu satay. It was very nice but more importantly, my children both just ate tofu willingly. Roasted is the way to go!

That buttermilk chicken looks amazing! What’s the orange sauce with your fish, goat? It looks so fresh as always. And I’m sure the pasta was amazing :))

I love satay, Wendy, that looks good. You eat SO healthily.

You do Wendy, your dinners always make me think I eat terribly 😂it looks lovely.

Can I ask does tofu have any taste or is it pretty much bland and just used as a meat substitute? We try to eat meat free a few days a week but with varying requests I find it easier in the week to make a usual dish with a substitute, such as making a chilli or spag Bol which I know will get eaten but with quorn mince instead.

It tastes of nothing but takes flavour well.

Thanks Ken.

At the other end of the scale S and I decided this morning this weekend needed cheesecake seeing as we can’t go anywhere.
Malteser cheesecake with malted milk biscuit base and Malteser buttons as decoration. There are two share bags of Maltesers broken up in the actual filling. I predict I’ll be on the weight loss thread Monday morning

That is a thing of beauty. I like S’s style a lot.

I’m making beef massaman curry & it smells utterly dreadful right now. I’ve got all the windows open in the kitchen, and internal doors shut & candles burning everywhere.

That cheesecake looks amazing.

I would also love your pasta, Goat. How did you do the crispy sprouts? I really like them roasted.

Ooo, I like the fancy bread!

Like Ken says, tofu absorbs flavours. I wouldn’t really see it working to throw in a chilli or spag Bol instead of meat though.

Black olive pesto pasta and not-so-healthy treats. :))

We have half donut shaped moulds with holes and half without. That’s Biscoff spread (thinned with milk) on top.

A tad spicy for Sunday lunch! The sauce has gochujang paste in it.
