Show us your food! Corona Cooking edition

Post by Disco »

This is the place to share photos of all our weird and wonderful meals we are making to get through this time.

I decided to make one of those things I keep seeing on fb videos.

Half a ton. :)) This was breakfast. Stale bread and some very ripe pear to use up. Definitely nicer than it looked!

Yesterday’s lunch was squid from the freezer, cucumber, part baked roll and mayo with sweet chilli sauce.

I’ve had a veg box surprise swede looking at me for two weeks and I used half with two carrots for lunch. It’s loosely based on an Anna Jones recipe lemon braised roots and couscous. She serves it with lemon yoghurt but we are low on yoghurt so we had it with rose harissa (opened for ages but not mouldy: win!) George asked for seconds.

Dinner was lettuce risotto and pudding was pineapple cake. It looks like I have built cheese walls around my risotto.

I also made fake Leon superfood salad give or take a few ingredients. I did add cucumber after I took the photo - I’d forgotten we had it!

I have had hardly any green stuff at all. Courgettes, broc and parsley are the only green things I’ve had access to.

Look at that cream in the pineapple upside down cake :ready:

Your cake is missing neon glace cherries though ;)

Green spam sounds very Corona cooking. :)) I will have green things tomorrow! And I still have some cavolo nero.

Lunch: packet miso soup, natto, a banana.

Today's macaroni cheese. No green stuff exists in this house right now, aside from a cucumber.
