You did a bloomin' good job. I'd eat the lot and want more.

I made Carla Lalli Music’s melted cauliflower [linguine] which I’ve been fancying for weeks. It was nice enough, if a bit lacking in dimension. Next time I will add crispy lardons or chorizo and maybe play around with the cooking of the onions a bit. It felt like a good start.
I think I tried this and was similarly underwhelmed. My fave new cauliflower pasta is Melissa Clark's Fusilli & Roasted Cauliflower with Capers. I've got some roasted cauli in the fridge atm so am going to try a leftover version tomorrow.

Well now, this sounds like a much better use of my next cauli effort - I love roasted cauliflower so much! Let us know how your leftover version goes.

Pippola, Your cake is just beautiful

The cake has only improved today.

This evening we had Bolognese, garlic bread & rocket salad.

Your garlic pie looks terrific, emma! What’s the inside like? I’m trying to imagine and can’t. (I could Google, but I would like to know about yours).

I just made a sausage roast/bake. It’s a riff on a Smitten Kitchen recipe - hers is sausage, potatoes and shallots, roasted off and then tossed with rocket and lemon juice to serve. I added roasted peppers to the roasting pan and tossed it all with rocket and agrodolce. It was lush.
