I will eat the lasagne and also the carbonara, which I understand would definitely qualify as a full meal.

More fridge tidying: confit duck, parsnip mash ( still the parsnips are not over), puy lentils with the last of various stuff in.

Yes, I'll have that! And still everything on this thread really. Carbonara next please.

I had a delicious but not particularly photogenic celeriac soup.

I have a tin of duck confit somewhere. I am basically going to copy all the meals in this thread now.

I do too and quite fancy that parsnip, potato and porcini gratin with it.

I still keep laughing at carbonara being relegated to a side dish

Not so much a side dish, more a....lunch? :))

That gratin would be lovely with it. I am in the unenviable position of owning all the root vegetables except potatoes. It's a struggle.

Lentils! I don't know why I always forget about them. They look really good with the duck.

Any tips for the celeriac soup, Dics? It's always been a bit bland when I've made it.

Lovely, Pip. We had that for lunch last Saturday.

I had fish tacos as inspired by Jude (I think). I didn't take a photo but I do love this thread for sparking ideas.

I’d got grand plans for the mackerel & poha rice tomorrow but apparently we’re having a visitation from the inlaws again. They keep insisting on inviting themselves & bringing food, which is kind of strange. Anyway, I’ve over ordered on the groceries this week so I’m making sausages, mash & onion gravy with sautéed greens. Even though I’m slightly baffled & put out by the visit. I wanted to spend my late afternoon ironing and watching crap tv rather than entertaining.

I really love not having inlaws. I say that, I'm much more tied in to my outlaws these days but glad my house is too small to host and they won't impose. ETA and they are lovely.

Obvs I will die alone with my cat eating me but until then my home is my sanctuary.

They are weird bringing their own food. I'll be your MIL instead. And I'll wait to be invited.
