I need to put some smoked haddock on the weekly menu next week I think. The last time I got some from Sainsbury's, it was really mushy though. I need to go to a proper shop I think.

I got two fillets from M&S and they were lovely. Firm, white and flaky.

ETA I do think food quality has gone down recently at Sainsbury's. I usually buy these thin steaks that are good for stir fry but they were absolutely inedibly tough the last time I got them

I had great steaks from Asda recently. Thin cut ones and I stir fried those. It was like butter.

Looks amazing, Dics! I really want to make it now but we’re on holiday this week and I don’t have the ingredients. There is cheap wild garlic in the local fruit and veg shop too! Maybe I can make garlic bread to help with the craving.

Yes, make garlic bread. I picked so much I might make sup some chicken stock with it blitzed in it and freeze for a couple of future pies.

I recreated the salad from the café my sister uses for bookshop events. I had to cook two lots of buckwheat to get it right.

It’s this! I thought it was homemade, but the café buys it in in massive quantities. Buckwheat, peas, broad beans & spinach, with a vinaigrette dressing.
