What would you eat.

Post by Kleio »

I need to choose from these although I’ve heard there might be a tasting menu option.

I’ve pushed for information on what’s gluten free and so far I’ve been told they can do everything which is clearly a lie as marmite isn’t gluten free.

Initially I think mushroom eclair minus the marmite, bream tartare, lamb rump and cheesecake.

Ooh that looks nice. I’ll have the trout cornetto, ham hock then the lamb. And the frangipane tart too please.

Trout cornetto

I'd have the eclair, sea bream and then I can't choose between the mains - they all sound good. Maybe the lamb.

Apparently they’ll do vegan/vegetarian alternatives.

How weird to not list a veggie main though. That would really put me off.

If they reckon Marmite is ok but you know otherwise, do you trust them to eat there?

I reckon it's "marmite" not Marmite, since presumably it's not actually a Cornetto  I'd still be very suspicious though!

I'd have Eclair, Beef Cheek, and Pear dessert.

Can't decide on starter between goat and bream :puzz:

Mushroom marmite looks like marmite but has none in it - I know this because I ordered it once (being a huge fan of yeast extract :))) and there was none it. Colour me disappointed.

ETA Maybe it means cooked in a marmite pot? :puzz: You know, the little round fellas.

Goats cheese, hake and pear tart. I’ll skip the mouthfuls

Mushroom marmite sounds a bit grim.

I’m hearing it all third hand at the moment and will be contacting them myself.

I assumed I could have all the mouthfuls so that's what I'm doing. I'm not turning down anything with a confit egg yolk or anything with lovage. :ready:

Sea bream
Lamb ( I'd go for the Brixham hake if I was in Brixham at the time though)
No pudding due to all the mouthfuls. I may have a digestif while others have pudding.

The beef cheek, cheesecake & chocolate torte. None of the rest of it appeals :look:

I feel strongly that there should be potatoes with the hake.
