I've started and an liking Home for Christmas.

The Night Before (Seth Rogan, Joseph Gordon Levitt, the Falcon guy) is good. Bad Moms Christmas is ok.

We watched American Lampoon's Christmas Vacation today, which was....interesting. The humour is pretty dated but some bits were genuinely funny, Plus, famous people in small parts is always amusing (Johnny Galecki! Juliette Lewis! Julia Louis-Dreyfus!).

For my sins, I also watched A Christmas Prince. It didn't make me want to run to watch its two sequels

I re-watched Christmas With The Coopers this week, because I didn't realise for the first few minutes, but it's very enjoyable schmaltz

Thanks for the Home for Christmas suggestion. I’ve watched an episode and like it but there is awful American dubbing. Do you all have that too?

I couldn't get past the dubbing so had to give up on it.

Right, I've just tried it in the original Norwegian with subtitles, and find it much better! That's this week's Christmas viewing sorted.

How did you get that, Rosa? Is it an option on Netflix? I didn't mind the dubbing too much though.

I couldn't get past the dubbing either.

Every year I think I'll watch the National Lampoon film, every year I get about 15 minutes in and can't stand it any more.

I watched Home Alone yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it though, I hadn't seen it this century, and had completely forgotten about the John Candy part.

I think there must also be a central setting, not just on programme by programme, given that I get subtitles by default. Dubbing is horrible.
