Oh! I thought you were being serious there. :fish:

I think we're meant to like her but I don't particularly. It doesn't portrait either French or Americans very well to me, although I definitely prefer the French characters. It sort of feels like whoever wrote it was trying to be serious and failed.

I binge watched Emily In Paris and I hate myself for admitting that I absolutely LOVED it . I fully understand and agree with all the criticisms, but I can’t help it. Even the bits I hated, I loved.

That looks so good! I loved the tv series years ago with Emilia Fox, Charles Dance and Diana Rigg.

I think Kristin Scott Thomas is going to be amazing in this.

Yes, she'll be perfect. Lily James too.

I could live without Armie Hammer though :ttth:

I saw a stage version where Dot Cotton played Mrs D. She was awful

The Trial of The Chicago7 - a made for Netflix film by Aron Sorkin, some very unsubtle parallels drawn to 2020, and very entertaining to boot.

I’ve just finished Emily in Paris. It was bad but still enjoyable and great escapism. I think we’re supposed to like Emily but Camille was my favourite.

Was it here I heard about Dream home makeover? It might have been Instagram. Anyway, it's good escapism.

That's exactly what I thought, loved Camille but Emily and her InstaLife were pathetic.

Rebecca looks really good!

Yup! I will watch it tonight and will want to chat about it because I absolutely love the original movie and the book. I am hoping Maxim is better than I think he's going to be. :))
