Just finished the second series and loved it. Some real laugh out loud moments. Really well written.

We watched the Suge Knight documentary that was on BBC2 at the weekend. It was really interesting.
I'm just finishing this. It is interesting, but don't you find the delivery of the British narrator guy really odd?

Yes, he was a bit strange!

He sounds like the narrator of a spoof documentary.

Back to Life fans might want to try Alma's Not Normal (on iPlayer), another good female led series which I stumbled across at the weekend. It's written by and stars Sophie Willan, based on her early (difficult and complicated) life. Despite the storyline it still manages to be funny. The final episode is particularly moving.

Sophie Willan was interviewed on R4 a couple of weeks ago, about her life and about how difficult it had been to get the series taken seriously. It was probably Woman’s Hour, but I can’t be sure.

It was interesting though. People were uneasy about laughing at addiction, and uncomfortable with treating characters like her mother as rounded people rather than one-dimensional. There was also concern that a comedy about working-class people would attract a niche audience.

Vigil started strongly, but the second half of the series was utter bobbins.

Mr S wanted to watch Vigil and I went along with it but I actually really disliked it after the first episode. Very glad it’s finished now!

Sums it up for me too. I loved the first couple of episodes but then I just wanted the damn thing to sink and kill all of them.

I was so disappointed with the last episode of Vigil. It started so strong then towards the end of ep 5 just veered to the silly.

We watched all of Ridley Road which I really liked, its all in iplayer. Also the Blair/Brown/New Labour documentary which is really good but by Christ, its depressing to see what a shambles Labour has become.

Next week, season 3 of American Crime Story starts on BBC2, its the Monica Lewinsky/Bill Clinton one so I'm looking forward to that.

I loved Alma's not normal binged it all and then watched it again. The best thing I've seen on telly for a while.

I'm watching Ridley Rd live so only two episodes in and enjoying it so far.

Also looking forward to American Crime Story.

I’m loving Alma as well. So uplifting in an odd way.

We watched the second series of Guilt which was good. Its definitely a sequel to the first one so watch that first if you've not seen it.

Tonight, a new series of American Crime Story starts featuring the Bill Clinton/Monica Lewinsky story. Its on BBC2.

OMG there’s new Dexter on Sky Atlantic! I wonder if it’s trying to redeem the godawful finale. It’s apparently set 10 years on. I am downloading as I type.

Has anyone watched Showtrial? It's on BBC1 on Sunday nights but also on iplayer. We watched all of it over the last week.

Also been watching The Outlaws which I really like. Its funnier than I expected.

I finished Showtrial last night and enjoyed it. I also really like Outlaws. I love that the dodgy area that is portrayed in it is about 3 minutes from my house :))

I’ve got a couple of episodes to go on Showtrial, it’s really good.

Squeak loves Outlaws, but I’m undecided. The sense of dread is doing my head in and I’m not finding it as funny as I should. We’re watching week by week. Squeak’s being very insightful about the characters. I just want to see Claes Bang.

We're watching Outlaws week by week too, I love the Christopher Walken character.

I liked Showtrial but I was undecided about the ending. I hated the female cop, she really annoyed me even though I mainly agreed with her
